1st of all, last nite performance was somehow very interesting and was very dissappointing at the same time!! (it's just my opinion, so pls share with us yours....) how i come to that conclusion... bare with me kay... as the thread is all about choreography, so this is what i'm focussing on... here it goes... Becky and Dennis / Nikki and Yuz (AZWA)Love that 'silat' performance... both of them carried it out very well!!! Well done!!! Nikki and Yuz, you both work with Azwa before on the 1st week, so definitely you are use to being 'tortured' ;D by him and turned you both to a better performer... Song choice, superb.... i don't know about you, but I think Azwa has this 'powerful inner side' that makes him capable of coming up with new choreography each week, different music, different moves, different pattern work and yet... he always succeeded to catch my heart with his work... two thumbs up, my hats off for this gentlemen... clearly, with your choreography and mentoring, you always know and find ways on how to bring out the best in the dancers without losing your touch on the masterpiece.... looking forward to your next choreo and if i were the contestants, i wud feel very honoured to have him as a 'guru'... Brancy and Firul / Noor and Alam (cudn remember her name ;D)OMG!!!! i can't get that two dashing 'eagles' out of my mind... nicely done... very synchronize....that is the best example of dancing with the rhythm woot!!!! love that!!! you can feel the movements are like a story... without losing the 'chinese' touch, the contemporary looks of it really lift up both dancers... the choreo is very 'matured'... lots of dimensional involved and you could see it covered the whole area as if you can see the 'aura' comes out from every edge of the stage... i can see she puts a lot of thoughts and effort on her 1st choreo..... andddddddddd.... i don't what happened to her, but her 2nd piece was the worst choreo thru out the competition.... arghhhh..... it is close to nothing!!! macam persembahan budak tadika dekat dataran merdeka tau tak!!! how do you expect dancers to excel from that 'box step' moves?!?! everyone knows alam is capable to 'lift' noor, we saw that before and all you can come up was two same lousy pose!!! you know what, if 8tv didn't show the preview of them practising, then i wud have guessed that 2 pieces of work come from 2 different choregraphers... i'm sorry and i personally think, that what put noor and alam in the bottom 6!!! Sue and Isaac / Jo and Jimmy (Umesh)Last nite was Isaac's best performance yoooo!!!!!!!!! the lifting work between both of them is the best... very smooth and you can hardly see the effort... ini other word, 'effortless'... professional gitu... perfect emotions... perfect choregraphy... andddddd.... the same thing happened... lousy work for Jo and Jimmy... although is not as bad as 2nd chinese piece, but again, i wud have guessed it comes from different choreographers as well... maybe too much work already poured into the 1st piece, then the 2nd one becomes junk... from 'kashmir love story', it went to 'cheap hindi film in the making' and that film is banned in the end ;D apologize for my bad analogy but in layman terms, that are the best words i can choose to picture what my heart felt.. same movements are repeated more than once... and both Jo and Jimmy kinda dissapoint me as well... we'll get to that in other thread kay.... as closing the choreo for last nite, malay contemp and the 1st piece of both chinese and indian = FANTASTIC!! 2nd one = pls don't remind me of it... can't we get anybody to 'screen' the choreo as well?

It was interesting to see Yannus as the choreographer instead of a judge.

Yeah... Maybe coz if they contribute the choreography, its best to not be in the judging position? To avoid certain bias-ness or favouritism?
