An Honest Mistake "Say What You Want Say What You Will" Album Launch Showcase @ Publika Square (29/04/12)
MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT , THEY HONESTLY HAVE IT ALL

We have always had a soft spot for An Honest Mistake for as long as we have known them. After all they are one of the nicest (and among the most polite, soft spoken and humblest) independent rock bands who have maintained that gentle attitude despite growing into a much sought after name in the independent music circuit. Their warm off stage personality, combined with their full on "never take prisoners" kind of presence on stage, has made them a darling of the fans and promoters across the nation, making them a firm favourite at most urban rock festivals. The VIMA 2010 Best College Act award winning band launched their seven track self titled debut album nearly two years ago, with some of its singalong tracks gaining plenty of airplay on urban radio stations Hitz FM, Traxx FM and FLY FM. Crowd favourite "I Have A Hole in My Skinnies And That’s How We Roll" even charted on the Hitz FM's MET10, which also had an accompanying video by upcoming film maker Roy Ajong.
Although, we are fans of the band and enjoyed the tracks on their debut then, we found the production and the vocal quality on the album a little wanting, and shared our frank thoughts with band leader Darren Teh, who took our comments in good spirit and was happy for the feedback. We are extremely delighted to say that An Honest Mistake took all suggestions positively and returned with a more mature sophomore effort, that definitely looks set to stand tall among many other international productions. Their brand new album titled "Say What You Want, Say What You Will" was launched yesterday evening at a free showcase held by the band at Publica Square in Solaris Dutamas. The event which was well received by fans and curious onlookers also featured some of An Honest Mistake's favourite bands as the opening acts as well as a thrift bazaar which was organised by their close friend Bell Wong.
The Darren Teh/An Honest Mistake self produced "Say What Want, Say What You Will", which was mostly recorded at Masterplan Recording Chamber in Bandung, Indonesia, and mastered by West West Side Music in New York, USA, contains 13 tracks that includes eleven new numbers and an even darker remake of their previously published "The Snake With Limbs", plus a bonus acoustic version of "Let's Battle It Out With Vesuvius The Great".
