Wow Jazz 4 (Out now)
BACK TO WOW YOU AGAIN….
WARNER MUSIC MALAYSIA PRESENTS WOW JAZZ 4
News Release: Warner Music Malaysia
Jazz is a musical art form that originated in New Orleans , Louisiana , United States at around the start of the 20th century. Born out of a blend of African American musical styles with Western music technique and theory, Jazz uses blue notes, syncopation, swing, call and response, polyrhythms, and improvisation among its many stylistic markers. Jazz as a genre is often difficult to define, but improvisation is a key element of the form. Improvisation has been an essential element in African and African-American music since early forms of the music developed, and is closely related to the use of call and response in West African and African-American cultural expression.
After 3 successful albums in the WOW series, Warner Music Malaysia proudly presents WOW JAZZ 4, a special-priced double-CD compilation of the best singing legends and protégés ever lived, which is also the fourth installment in this unbeaten jazz series. 30 great, historical tracks performed by the best song stylists of the 20th Century. Natalie Cole, Linda Ronstadt, Eric Clapton (yes, the Slow Hand bluesman is included), Willie Nelson, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Lou Rawls and Al Jarreau are some of the big names selected to enrich this quiet storm compilation. Not to be left out, the greatest singers signed by the uber- successful jazz label, Blue Note: Cassandra Wilson, Dianne Reeves, Kurt Elling, Elaine Elias, Patricia Barber and Norah Jones. Let us not overlook the future legends Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Oleta Adams and Renee Olstead. Only the greatest jazz legends out of the many stars.
WOW JAZZ 4, from Warner Music, an ideal gift for that someone special…a great soundtrack for that “first” time…for weddings, for soirees, for graduations, or for typical lazy afternoons. It is exclusively available only in Rock Corner outlets throughout Malaysia , and retails at RM 48.90 only!
Did we mention that the late great Eva Cassidy and the cool-as-cucumber Stacey Kent are also included...as well as Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman? Guess we were WOWed (yet again...for the fourth time) by the names listed in this colossal jazz collection, the best ever so far THIS YEAR!
