What are your reasons for joining So You Think You Can Dance?
I am a huge fan of this reality show and it would mean a lot to me to be part of my favourite TV show. I would like to be exposed to all dance forms out there and work with top choreographers in their fields. To meet and network with people who are as passionate as I am about dancing. To be pushed and stretched in
every way and direction to reach my maximum potential as a dancer and to be a better person.
Have you ever entered any similar competition? If yes, what are they and what are your accomplishments in the competition?
Yes, I joined the first season of SYTYCD.
Do you have any dance idols?
Jaimie Goodwin, Sabra Johnson, Allison Holker, Teddy Forance and Mia Micheals.
How long have you been dancing?
Started at the age of 6 with Ballet and continued it for 9 years. Then I took up Jazz at the age of 12 and completed my Advanced 2 level in 2000 before achieving Honors for my bronze and silver level in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
What interest you to take up dancing?
My mom put me and my sister in Ballet and Rhythmic Gymnastics when we were young, so we didn't have much say in it. But later on, I got really fascinated with Jazz and other dance forms, so I took up other classes at my own will.
How far do you see yourself in this competition?
I have already reached the initial goal I set down, that
is to at least make it to boot camp. Making it to the Top 20 was already beyond that. I guess I will want to try to take one level at a time, now aiming to be in the Top 18 and so forth on.
Did you try out for SYTYCD season 1? Did you get through the first time?
Yes. I was very lucky the first time round actually. Out of over 500 contestants, I was among the lucky seven who was given a traight pass to boot camp week. But then I failed to make it to the Top 20.
