With dashing looks and amazing voices, Piero, Gianluca & Ignazio are all fired up for Malaysia.
Its not often artistes burst out into a song, mid interview, to state a point, but that's exactly what happened when upcoming vocal trio Il Volo attempted to distinguish the difference between opera and what they actually do, which they define as operatic pop. The young vocalists who have had a phenomenal ride in the past two years, clearly take their music seriously and want to ensure that they are in no way being mis-branded even for a moment. Even more interestingly during our exclusive forty five minute session yesterday evening, with the three hot blooded Italian teens with lots to say, was their constant friendly bickering among each other (which was very typically Italian), intended to ensure that whatever they shared came out as accurately as possible.
The natural singing sensations who sound much older than their actual ages, are here for their three days album promotional tour, which included various media engagements, fan meet sessions, and other related activities, that concludes with their exclusive showcase for Universal Music Malaysia, which is scheduled for today at 5pm, at Bentley Music Auditorium in Mutiara Damansara. The friendly, articulated and outspoken lads, who rambled furiously along in a smattering of English and Italian, assisted by a frantic interpreter, were more than happy to share their explosive journey that saw them rising from mere unknown individuals, who had not even met each other prior to their winning an Italian talent show together, to a global top ten charting trio with a commercially successful debut album, that has won them a plenitude of praises worldwide, and hordes of classical crossover fans.
For Gianluca Ginoble (16), Piero Barone (18) and Ignazio Boschetto (17), their dreams are only 80% complete, and a complete realization according to the more animated Piero, would be to be able to perform together for always, while winning a Grammy would be the height for the take charge Gianluca.
