Metalheads MC16's electrifying performance in the finals of Hotsound Studios Music Showdown 2011 Finals at Mutiara Crown Plaza Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, last night, easily captured the audience's attention and the judges' confidence, to take home the grand prize of RM6000 and various other supplementary prizes. MC16, who are better known in the indie circuit as Massacre Conspiracy, emerged clear winners over the four other finalists, with their raw energy, synergistic playing, exhilarating stagecraft, and pitch perfect growling by their lead vocalist Ash. Their intensity on stage may have found them new fans among some of the less metal initiated members of the audience, that included guest of honour, Dato' Seri Ahmad Husni Bin Mohamad Hanadzlah, the 2nd Finance Minister of Malaysia, who officiated the event.
