FEYST '11: Indie Youth Fest & Sweden-Malaysia Innovation Days Launch @ Pavilion KL (6/5/11)
MEATBALLS OF FUN AS FEYST INNOVATES TO A SWEDISH FLAVA THIS YEAR

The fourth installment of the popular FEYST: Indie Youth Fest, which runs from 6th to 10th May, 2011, was officially launched yesterday morning, by the Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Per-Anne Hjelmborn, the Deputy General of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), Yg. Bhg. Datuk Hj. Salleh Bin Yusup, and festival director, Ms Jasmine Low, at the Pavilion Mall, in Kuala Lumpur.
FEYST '11, which is jointly organised by the Swedish Embassy and Go International Group, as a celebration of digital lifestyles, video games and music, will also be an integral part of the Sweden-Malaysia Innovation Days event, and will feature a whole range of activities over five days, that will include the FEYST Free Concert, GO.esc Pro-Gamer Tournament, Mobile Game Challenge, an Innovative Challenge Competition, Malaysian Beatbox Crew Challenge, a Music Forum, the Innovation Days forum and more.
The festival which also slated to feature 55 independent music acts on its outdoor concert stage at the boardwalk beside Pavilion, is expected attract over 30,000 youths with 500 already signed up to take part in various activities throughout. Among the popular acts that will be holding court are Pesawat, Beatburns, Reza Salleh, Bo Bedroom Sanctuary, Liyana Fizzy, Azmyl Yunor, Wani Ardy, Dichi Michi, Izzy Mohd and Phlox. Also making their appearances in KL will be folk/blues/americano singer songwriter duo, The Harvest, from Stockholm, Sweden who will be singing on 7th May, and music producer/artiste manager Patrik Larsson of Headlock Management, also from Sweden, who will be speaking at the FEYST Music Forum on 8th May.
