Farah Dato' Seri Sulaiman started dancing at the tender age of four. She has an Advanced in RAD Ballet, Modern Stage Dancing and Tap Dancing. She was the founder of Sayang Academy of Dancing and continues to maintain her own dance troupe, Sayang Dancers.
Farah also did cultural dancing at Kompleks Kebudayaan Negara and was invited to dance for the SEA Games then. She represented Malaysia for the 1st Asean Song Festival in Brunei, and choreographed and danced for the 2nd Asean Song Festival in Singapore and the Asean Pop Song Festival. She also represented Malaysia for the World Freestyle Disco Championship in the United Kingdom.
She was trained at the Stella Mann School of Dancing, Dance Centre and Pineapple Dance Studios in London. She has also performed in productions of Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, Show Boat, Camelot, The Boy Friend, Snow White and Mother Goose.
Her dance stints include shows for famous artistes such as Sudirman, Francis Yip, Francesca Peters, Raphael Centenera, Salamiah Hassan, Saloma, Endang S Tuarina and Siti Norhaliza.
Her choreography is wide-ranging and extends from musicals such as Rubiah, Puteri Gunung Ledang Dot Com, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, to events such as the 16th Malaysian Film Festival and Flora Fest
In her younger days, she appeared in a few commercials such as Clairol Shampoo, Bata, Honda, National Multi-Split Air Conditioner, Avon and KFC.
Because of her natural ability in dance, many foreign ballet and modern dance instructors have always encouraged her to continue dancing. This she did until she had to undergo major surgery in 1997. Now she only teaches and choreographs.
She was also the Artistic Director in her own very successful musical productions of Dance Hysteria (2000), Broadway Babies (2001) and Dance Hysteria II (2004), all held in aid of charity.
