TEEN SENSATION DAVID ARCHULETA RELEASES SOPHOMORE ALBUM
News Release: Sony Music Malaysia
Fan favorite David Archuleta will release his sophomore album "The Other Side of Down" on October 12th in Malaysia. The album features “Something ‘Bout Love” an upbeat song produced by S*A*M & Sluggo. Archuleta is also promoting a new song from the album, “Elevator” co-written by Archuleta, Shelly Peiken and Mike Krompass (who also produced the track).
Archuleta is already receiving accolades for the new album: The New York Post describes The Other Side of Down as “another wholesome pop record” that succeeds in “showing off his powerhouse vocals.”
Earlier this year, David Archuleta earned the distinction of the “Best American Idol ever” in a Billboard magazine reader poll. Archuleta was the American Idol Season 7 runner-up in 2008, and he’s widely known for his exceptional vocal talent and charismatic boy next door charm. The 19-year old Utah native’s self-titled 2008 debut album contained the hit song “Crush,” which has sold over 2.3 million digital units to date, and went on to sell over 750,000 albums. Last year, he released a seasonal album, Christmas From The Heart and it is certain to become a holiday staple for years to come.
Fans can catch David promoting his album on several upcoming television appearances throughout October including: Regis and Kelly (October 6), The Today Show (October 7), Access Hollywood (October 9), MTV News, FOX News/The Hot Zone and more.
