I just think this is a reality show after all. What are the judging criteria, to be honest? To find the most versatile dancer? Or find the dancer who improved the most? How do you judge a 'good' dancer? Pat in Season 2 is looking for a "malaysian" flavour in dancers... There is no strict rule for what is "malaysian flavour".. how pedas should the dance be? I think it's quite subjective. Also seeing on screen is so different from seeing them perform on stage...The judges signed contracts and they have their responsibilities to the organizer, audience and finalists. Very hard to please all three parties...
The finalists are good, no doubt, but this show is more than dancing - it has entertainment value. Who can really dance? We all know, kan?
(still remember sytycd usa season 1. Blake didn't win, was even in the bottom few, but he's still the best dancer in my mind anyway haha!)

Hey there,it's Dennis here=)
Well, just to clear things up,this competition, like the USA series,it's not to find the BEST DANCER,,but the Favourite dancer. It is not impossible, but some how difficult to find the BEST,because nobody can be the BEST in all styles. One might be able to do ALL DANCEs given, but he/she might not be good in all of it. SO yeah,it's not about the BEST, but Malaysia's Favourite Dancer(not just appearance, but able to dance/perform on stage, infront of the camera and represent the show-SYTYCD)...That's pretty much the concept behind this show, the Favourite Best Dancer.Hopefully it clear some air..hee..Thx for reading=)

dennis... I seek to differ....
The competition is not for the Best or Favorite but the most promising...... meaning... a person are not professional but ability to show the potential.
Malaysia punya.... so far, I see that he top top are all pre-meditated. Which means..... the judges have already set who they want to eliminate on weekly basis.
If you dont believe me.... just watch... it will be Muhhibah for top this time round.

I think the production people need to get a judge, who is more experience in competition and competitive dancer to understand the criteria in this show. An ex-competitor who has seen and travelled the world enough will help them very much.
The person who created the show was an ex-competitor in ballroom dancing if I am not wrong?
Saw one well known named and credentials mention on another page - Mr. William if I am not wrong.
Management is all about ,putting the right people for the right job and the right advisors at the right place!!
