I'm extremely sorry for the delay, but here goes my review. Haven't heard of him ? Well a short info, he is the winner of X - Factor and he did an amazing cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Back at One" especially on the show. "Back at One" is also featured in this cd which is excellent. So the CD starts off with "Thats My Goal" - his winning single, its basically like any other idol - like single. Its really cheesy and corny, but somehow you'll just like it and end up singing to it. After that, its "No Promises" - a really beautiful song with quite a catchy tune. You probably should have heard it on MTV or Hitz.tv already huh ? The one that he is glowing where he's suppose to be dead and well his ex is .. ok if you don't know it then fiineeee. If you like the 3rd track "Stand By Me", i can bet you'll love it along with "Someone to Love" and "A Better Man". They all carry about the same tune and the soothing, easy-listening like feel. "I Cry" will touch your heart cause the message it cries is just touching. "What About Me" is definitely one of my favourites on this album. The music somehow carries a light feel yet with a very heavy emotional message behind it if that makes sense - its just really amazing. The CD ends with "Next to You" - its slightly more up - tempo than the others and it shows he can pull that off too. To sum it up, it seemed like the CD was really controlled by the producers ( a certain simon cowell and x-factor stuff ) and i'll definitely love what Shayne Ward will be able to do if the choices were all up to him. ( pretty much same case as Bo Bice's ) Still, its really worth your money, besides the fact he looks extremely hot in the cover and practically everywhere else, he has that captivating beautiful voice that managed to make all the votes go to him.. So, just geddit already ! ;D ;D ;D
