Bintang Jalanan - Kolaborasi Album Pemuzik Jalanan Launch @ TAR (14/07/2024)
A compilation album titled "STREET STARS - STREET MUSICIANS ALBUM COLLABORATION" has been published featuring 5 talented street musicians who have forged a name in the local music circuit namely AMMAL (Runner-up AF 2016), AMIR (Mentor), ISLAH (All Together Now), YONE (among Penang's best Buskers) and NAN BLUES (one of Malaysia's OTAI Buskers)
The original idea of producing this recording was the brainchild of its producer, AMAD, when everyone was "locked up" during the Movement Control Order (MCO) and was proposed to fellow "buskers" involved.
The album, which received funding under the CENDANA Independent Music Funding Program, features 10 new works in various genres such as folk, blues, reggae and others.
A music production process that gets the touch of great singers and musicians, OJA from the music arrangement and professionally recorded from all aspects of the recording to the final mix.
"Although this album is quite commercial, I ensure that the vibe and "ethic" of the buskers remains well-maintained in terms of music, character and overall concept but still has elements of current pop so that it is easily accepted by many. Buskers is not just music, but also "attitude"' said Amad as a producer.
The album launch ceremony was held on 14 July 2024 at the Relaxation Art Program@TAR by several dignitaries from Kuala Lumpur City Hall and also Dato Ito Blues Gang and Dato Freddie Fernandez.
