Teater Jauhar Tanah Permata Harimau Johor @ Auditorium Jotic, Johor Tourist Information Center, Aras 5, Bangunan Jotic , Jalan Air Molek, Bandar Johor Bahru (24 & 25/05/2024)
Pleased to inform you that the Johor State Theater Council & Johor Theater Movement in collaboration with Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Wilayah Selatan and Johor Tourism will be staging a masterpiece by Shaharom Hussain. This theater is a combination of Johor State Theater Artists in a production titled "Jauhar Tanah Permata, Harimau Johor" which will be staged on 24th & 25th May 2024 at 8.30 pm and a Matinee performance on 25th May 2024, at 3.00 pm at the Auditorium JOTIC, Johor Bahru. This staging involves almost 80 production personnel consisting of actors, musicians, dancers and technical groups.
Synopsis
The story is adapted from the Harimau Johor manuscript directed by Senjakala, while the script was developed together with Senjakala and Mann Cik Kah which tells the story during the reign of Temenggong Ibrahim in Teluk Belanga around the 1850s, pirates have started rampaging in Johor especially from Mersing to Ramunia . In order to eliminate the cruel and tyrannical acts by these pirates, Temenggong Ibrahim has ordered Nong Mutalib or his title HARIMAU JOHOR to oppose the commotion of these inhumane pirates. The presence of Nong Mutalib in Penggerang gave relief to the villagers there, but also faced opposition due to dissatisfaction especially from Labek, the Penggerang Warrior who kept the peace there. Can Nong Mutalib eliminate the cruel pirates in Tanah Jauhar? Let's see what the end will be... Jauhar Tanah Permata.
