COVID-19 Status Update as of 12.00 pm, today, 9th February 2022
A whopping 17,134 new cases have been reported nationwide today with 86 (0.5%) individuals under Category 3 to 5, with cumulative cases fast approaching the 3M mark.
It won't be long before we will surpass Health Minister YB Tuan Khairy Jamaludin qualified prediction of 30K daily cases by March 2022. At this rate, we will reach that number by next week if not sooner.
Although the danger of getting seriously ill is low, the number of those who will quarantined and the effect to their lives, livelihood and the economy will still be high.
Don't take this lightly. Please be extra vigilant with your SOPs and distancing. Please reduce the need for external contact if it is not absolutely necessary.
