COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 26th October 2021
Infections nationwide took an upward swing to report 5,726 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,442,224.
Selangor rose slightly to remain at the top of the leaderboard, with 929 new cases, while Sarawak is next, rising significantly to 715, followed by Kelantan which dropped to 685 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur rose by almost double to report 339 new cases while Putrajaya rose by nearly three times to report 37 new cases.
Sabah rose to record 565 new cases while Johor dropped to 488 new cases.
Up North, Kedah rose a little to report 346 new cases while Perlis went up by three to report 23 new cases. Joining them, Penang rose a little to 378 while Perak dropped to 257 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan yoyo-ed back up to report 253 and 199 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang dropped significantly to 219 while Terengganu dropped by six to 292.
Labuan meanwhile reported 3 new cases.
All states nationwide are still below the 1K mark despite surges in some.
7 new clusters were reported yesterday. Total active clusters now stand at 506.

5,607 have recovered yesterday taking the total recoveries to 2,340,390.
Active cases rises to 73,258.
6,610 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 584 in ICU, and 305 on ventilators.
Deaths dropped to 84, taking the total fatalities to 28,576.
Of all the cases reported today, only 97 (1.7%) are in categories 3, 4 & 5. The rest of the 5,629 cases (98.3%) are in categories 1 & 2.
94.8% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 97.5% have received their first dose. 2.5% are still unvaccinated. 58.8% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 73.6% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
