COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 24th October 2021
Infections nationwide dropped to 5,666 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,426,050.
Selangor remains at the top of the leaderboard, with 1,077 new cases, while Sarawak is next, riising significantly to 754, with Sabah dropping by 90 to 502 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur drops to report 162 new cases while Putrajaya rises to 30 new cases.
Both Johore & Kelantan reported 566 and 469 new cases respectively.
Kedah rose to report 421 new cases while Perlis went up by 1 to report 40 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan rose a little to report 262 and 218 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang dipped to 252 while Terengganu dropped significantly to 277.
Up north, Penang came down slightly to 279 while Perak also declined, to 349 new cases.
Labuan reports 7 new cases.
Overall, all states except Selangor, remain below the 1K mark with most experiencing a decline in new cases.

6,978 have recovered yesterday taking the total recoveries to 2,327,369.
Active cases drops to 75,947.
5,941 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 602 in ICU, and 300 on ventilators.
Deaths rose to 46, taking the total fatalities to 28,400.
94.6% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 97.5% have received their first dose. 2.5% are still unvaccinated. 51.6% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 72.8% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
