COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 23rd October 2021
Infections nationwide dropped to 5,828 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,426,050.
Selangor remains at the top of the leaderboard, with 1,037 new cases, with Sabah next, dropping a bit to 592, while Sarawak drops significantly to register 587 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur goes down a bit more to report 250 new cases while Putrajaya also drops, to 20 new cases.
Both Johore & Kelantan reported 503 and 544 new cases respectively.
Kedah dropped slightly to report 345 new cases while Perlis drops by 4 to report 39 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan rose a little to report 223 and 199 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang rose slightly to 335 while Terengganu dropped to 398.
Up north, Penang came down slightly to 337 while Perak went up a bit to 411 new cases.
Labuan reports 3 new cases.
Overall, all states except Selangor, remain below the 1K mark with most experiencing a decline in new cases.

9,178 have recovered yesterday taking the total recoveries to 2,320,291.
Active cases drops to 77,305.
6,191 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 620 in ICU, and 297 on ventilators.
Deaths dropped to 42, taking the total fatalities to 28,354.
94.5% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 97.4% have received their first dose. 2.6% are still unvaccinated. 48.7% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 72.4% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
