COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 13th October 2021Infections nationwide rose to report 7,950 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,361,529. More surges of new infections keep Selangor at the top of the leaderboard with 1,449 cases while Sarawak also climbs past the 1K mark with 1,165 new cases. Kelantan is next, dipping below the 1K mark with 958 new cases. Kuala Lumpur rises to 309 new cases while Putrajaya reports 19. Sabah rises slightly to 751 new cases while Johore rises to 703. Kedah drops a bit to 489, while Perlis also falls, by nearly half, to report 32 new cases. Melaka and Negeri Sembilan see 188 and 167 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang drops further to 342 while Terengganu climbs significantly to report 499 new cases. Labuan reports 0 new cases. Active cases now stand at 106,047. 7,463 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 722 in ICU, and 380 on ventilators. Deaths dropped to 68, taking the total fatalities to 27,593.
