COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 9th October 2021
Infections nationwide fell slightly to report 8,743 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,327,246.
Selangor remains at the top of the leaderboard despite a sharp drop, with 1,351 new cases reported while Sarawak reports 1,126 new cases. Kelantan is next with 940.
Kuala Lumpur drops slightly to 66 new cases while Putrajaya reports 23.
Johore drops by 5 to record 859 new cases.
Sabah rises slightly to 761 new cases while Kedah drops to 437.
Perlis drops slightly to report 66 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan see 289 and 198 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang reports 553 while Terengganu drops by 60 to report 590 new cases.
Labuan reports 1 new cases.

12,884 have recovered yesterday taking the total recoveries to 2,157,565.
Active cases now stand at 120, 246.
7,708 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 768 in ICU, and 418 on ventilators.
Deaths fell to 74, taking the total fatalities to 27,265.
89.7% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 94.7% have received their first dose. 5.3% are still unvaccinated. 6.5% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 64.9% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
