COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 6th October 2021
Infections nationwide rise significantly to 9,380 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,303,837.
Sarawak remains at the top of the leaderboard with 1,503 new cases. Kelantan is next with 1,170 new cases while Selangor drops to 1,116.
Kuala Lumpur drops by 3 to report 214 new cases while Putrajaya reports 18.
Johore rises significantly to go pass the 1K mark once again with 1,105 new cases.
Sabah continues to remains below the 1K mark to report 790 new cases while Kedah drops to 556.
Perak rises a little to record 629 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan see 200 and 191 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang drops to 511 while Terengganu climbs by nearly twice to report 704 new cases.
Perlis drops by 5 to 42 new cases while Labuan reports 8 new cases.

13,045 have recovered yesterday which is lower than the day before, taking the total recoveries to 2,144,681.
Active cases now stand at 132,175.
8,096 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 847 in ICU, and 445 on ventilators.
Deaths dropped to 105, taking the total fatalities to 26,981.
88.8% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 94.6% have received their first dose. 5.4% are still unvaccinated. 4.1% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 64% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
