COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 4th October 2021
Infections nationwide drop close to the 8K mark to record 8,075 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,285,640.
Sarawak remains at the top of the leaderboard despite new infections dropping significantly to register 1,188 cases. Kelantan is next with 1020 new cases, followed by Penang at 853.
Selangor drops significantly to report 686 new cases, while Kuala Lumpur drops to report 151 new cases. Putrajaya reports 19. Overall Klang Valley reports 853 new cases which is equivalent to Penang.
Sabah remains below the 1K mark to report a slightly lower 764 while Kedah rises a little to report 670 new cases.
Perak drops further to record 548 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan see 219 and 108 new cases respectively. Pahang and Terengganu see significant drops with 522 and 636 new cases respectively.
Perlis drops to 36 new cases while Labuan reports 2 new cases.

15,456 have recovered yesterday which is higher than the day before, taking the total recoveries to 2,116,021.
Active cases now stand at 142,860.
8,383 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 867 in ICU, and 461 on ventilators.
Deaths rose slightly to 76, taking the total fatalities to 26,759.
88% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 94.4% have received their first dose. 5.6% are still unvaccinated.
