Moby Doc @ Amazon Prime (May 2021)We are huge fans of American musician, songwriter, singer & producer Richard Melville Hall a.k.a. Moby, right from his self titled debut album in 1992 right up to his 2021 orchestrally worked "Reprise". Nothing he has put out has failed us including the much panned "Animal Rights", but the best from all of his 19 albums will undoubtedly be "Play". That's why we got really excited when we heard he had also released his own personal story "Moby Doc" as a co-written 92-min documentary alongside his latest "Reprise" album, in May this year. Moby switched to director & producer Rob Gordon Bralver after rejecting a previous incarnation of the documentary by another filmmaker, to create this unconventional and idiosyncratic masterpiece that is more honest, darker and non-formulaic. It is unlike any other music documentaries that you have seen before. The footage was captured with an Alexa Classic, Red Epic, an 8K drone, Canon C100, and from a mobile phone, spliced together with videos taken from YouTube and other rare recordings. The film's narrative was shot by Moby himself on his Canon 5D, in his own backyard. You can watch it on Amazon Prime. TAGS: #MobyDoc #RentakSejuta
