Lockdown Listen Day 3 (15/07/2021)
With too many Zoom meetings & Virtual Press Conferences, we could only managed to listen to just one CD for day three of Lockdown Listen yesterday.
12. Eighties Chart Toppers Volume 1 (EMI/Warner/Sony)
But it was a truly fun listen. Thoroughly enjoyed this, especially the medleys - The Beach Boys Medley and The Hollies Medley. Most of the tracks are from the earlier half of the Eighties and have a warmer and cheerier pop oriented flavour, with a tinge of disco bleeding through from the late seventies.
This 1990 compilation certainly offers a decent cross section of early to mid eighties. You definitely can't go wrong with the likes of Kim Wilde, Kim Carnes, Suzi Quatro, Shakin Stevens, Foreigner & Dr Hook.
If the lockdown is bringing you down, this compilation will certainly lift you up.
