Weekly Eliminations & Voting Mechanics
1.Every week, the remaining contestants pick their dance partners via a draw. Each pairing will consists of one male and one female contestant. The assigned pairs will then perform live, one dance style which was also picked via a draw, in front of the judges and the studio and television audiences. Dance styles and partners are drawn about 6 days before the live show, each week, and the couples will have only that much time to prepare and choreograph the performances with the assigned dance instructors for each style selected.
2.During the weekly live show, the professional judges will then select the bottom 4, based on their performances.
3.The bottom 4 (2 male & 2 female) will then be given a chance to impress the voting audience individually for 30 seconds.
4.Immediately after the last individual contestant has completed his/her routine, the voting lines will be opened.
5.The viewers will get a chance to pick who they would like to see remain from the bottom 4 via phone voting.
6.One male and one female contestant with the lowest votes each will be eliminated each week.
7.Voting period is between the time the last bottom 4 dancer completes his/her performance, until, just before the end of the show, when the results will be announced (approximately 20 minutes) on the same night.
8.8TV Quickie will come on as soon as the voting period commences.
9.The results show commences immediately after 8TV Quickie ends.
How To Vote
Each contestant from the bottom 4 will be assigned a number (1 ¡V 4) every week. To vote, just follow the instructions below. Pick the one you would like to see remain in the competition.
Via SMS: Type ¡§contestant number¡¨ and send to 33838
Via Fixed Line: Dial 13710 and select the contestant number (1/2/3/4).
