Hi, Mom" Screening @ GSC Cinemas (01/04/2021)
China's all time #1 comedy, "Hi, Mom" will be screening at GSC from 1st April 2021.
Released in China on 12th February 2021, the film has grossed over US$ 807M at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of 2021 and the second highest-grossing non-English film of all time.
The film is written and directed by Jia Ling and stars Jia Ling, Shen Teng, Chen He, and Zhang Xiaofei.
HI Mom (or Hello Li Huanying as in its Chinese title) is a story about a grief stricken Jia Xiaoling who finds herself transported back in time after her mother Li Huanying dies in a car accident in 2001, where she ends up becoming her mother's close friend in 1981, and tries her best to create a better life for her mum than the one she had the first time around.
Jia Ling spent more than three years writing the script with her co-writers, and the film is her directional debut.
The film which focuses heavily on familial love and filial piety, should not be missed.
