COVID-19 Status Update & Cluster Report (26/11/2020)
935 new COVID19 cases reported nationwide today along with 2,555 recoveries, leaving 11,348 active cases still receiving treatment. Of these 110 are in ICU with 45 on ventilators. A total of 49,056 have recovered thus far, Unfortunately, 3 more deaths have been reported today, taking the total fatalities to 348. Rentak Sejuta extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved.
Selangor reported 161 new cases and 207 recoveries today while Kuala Lumpur saw 59 new cases and 61 recoveries. Putrajaya registered 5 new cases with 3 recoveries today.
Sabah saw a minor upwards trend with 326 new cases being reported today but announced a welcome 2,126 recoveries. Labuan reported 13 new cases and 9 recoveries while Sarawak saw 4 new cases and 8 recoveries.
The number of new cases in Negeri Sembilan climbed up to 158 today but saw 47 recoveries, with Johore surging up to 60 new cases with just 4 recoveries. No new cases were reported in Melaka which saw 3 recoveries.
Kedah continued to announce new cases with 24 new cases reported today with 11 recoveries. Penang saw 17 new cases with 29 recoveries. Perak remained high, with 79 new cases reported today, while seeing 41 recoveries. No cases were reported in Perlis.
Despite 8 recoveries, Kelantan continued to surge with another 28 new cases today. Terengganu saw 1 new case with Pahang reporting none.
6 new clusters were declared today - Block 31 and Bot Biru in Tawau, Sabah, Gemilang in Johore Baru, Johore, Damar Laut in Penang, Chenggal in Kota Baru, Kelantan and Sungai Uda Construction Site in Manjalara, Kuala Lumpur
The cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia now stands at 60,752 and has surpassed the total number of cases in Singapore.
