COVID-19 Status Update & Cluster Report (15/11/2020)
The number of new #COVID19 cases continues to remain high with 1, 208 cases reported today. However, 1,013 cases were discharged as of 12.00 pm, leaving 12,323 active cases still being treated. 104 of these cases are in ICU with 42 of them on ventilators. The total cumulative cases are fast approaching the 50K mark and now stands at 47,417.
Unfortunately, 3 more deaths were reported today, taking the total number of fatalities to 309. Rentak Sejuta extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved.
With just 13 cases yesterday, Deepavali Day was just a lull in the storm for Kuala Lumpur. The pandemic hit the capital city hard today with a record 475 new cases reported today. Selangor meanwhile saw 185 cases while Negeri Sembilan dropped to 48. Putrajaya remained low with just 1 new case. Most of the new cases in Kuala Lumpur were reported from Kepong (339 cases) and Cheras (121 cases), mostly originating from the Damanlela Construction Site cluster (462 cases) in Bukit Damansara. The majority of the new cases in Selangor were reported in Klang (100 cases) and Hulu Langat (48 cases)
Across the South China Sea, the case count seems to be going down with Sabah reporting 381, while Labuan reported 30. Sarawak reported 4.
The Northern Region saw Penang reporting 42 new cases while was hit with 21. Kedah seems to be stabilising with 8 new cases today, but Perlis, unfortunately, picked up 1 again today.
Down South, Negeri Sembilan fluctuates with 48 new cases reported today, while Johore saw 9 and Melaka saw 2.
