Sabah COVID19 Hospitals, Low-Risk Treatment Centres & Quarantine Centres Update (27/10/2020)
As of 27th October 2020, there are 25 KKM hospitals in Sabah with a capacity of 4,686 beds. Of the 25 hospitals, 9 hospitals are operated as COVID-19 Hybrid Hospitals.
COVID-19 Hybrid Hospitals are set to treat both types of patients whether non-COVID-19 patients or COVID-19 patients, with 1,264 beds available for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, with a current usage rate of 59%.
To reinforced the preparedness to deal with the increase in cases of COVID-19 patients in Sabah, KKM has set up additional beds through the establishment of Quarantine and Low-Risk COVID-19 Treatment Centres (PKRC).
There are 27 PKRCs operating with a capacity of 7,242 beds, of which 41% are currently being utilised.
The total number of beds for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in hospitals and PKRC in Sabah is at 8,506 beds in total with a collective current usage rate of 43%.
