A record-breaking 869 new #COVID19 cases were reported today along with another 4 deaths, taking our cumulative cases to 19, 627 and our death tally to 180. A total of 6,886 individuals are still languishing in hospitals nationwide with 91 in ICUs and 30 on ventilators. Only 302 were discharged yesterday.
At this rate, our medical resources could soon be totally overwhelmed. ICU usage in Sabah is already at 72%, with #COVID19 field hospitals already being set up by the armed forces. Private medical facilities are already being contracted by the Ministry of Health to take over regular medical cases from Government hospitals in the state, which saw the new case count there at 451.
