MPUIS 2020 CROWN THE ICING ON SOEN'S CAKE!!!

Soen Tan, a 25-year-old pastry chef from Tanjung Aru, was crowned Miss Petite Universe International Sabah 2020 at the pageant's grand coronation which was held at The Palace Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah tonight. Soen who is of Sino-Kadazan heritage also won the Body Beautiful and Popular Starlet subsidiary titles. As the founder of Feed The Strays, her advocacy was on stopping animal abuse and fighting for animal rights.
Taking the runners up spot was 19-year-old Lilyannie Christie from Kudat, the night's other big winner, who snapped up an incredible 5 subsidiary titles. Coming in third was 28-year-old doctor Jacinta Toimin from Tamparuli, who picked up 2 subsidiary titles on the way to the top three. Both Lilyanie and Jacinta are of Murut descent.
Completing the top 5 were 24-year-old educator Elisheeba Gloria from Kota Belud and 25-year-old Melissa Vivian from Ranau in fourth and fifth respectively. Both are of Dusun descent.
The top 5 winners will represent Sabah in the national finals in Miri from 3rd to 6th November 2020. Another 2 finalists, 22-year-old Jandy Nuhi from Lahad Datu and 20-year-old Michelle Yong from Membakut will also join them, as wild card entries.
The winners were selected by an esteemed panel of judges that included Brandan Peter Yeo, National Director of Miss Petite Universe International Malaysia, Dr Hana Rose, founder & CEO of Rose Bay Clinic and Bebe Shee.
The pageant was hosted by Brenda Yeo, Assistant National Director of Miss Petite Universe International Malaysia and Nickson Sim, State Director of Miss Petite Universe International Sarawak.
Miss Petite Universe International Sabah was successfully organised by its state director Leo Raynold.
Malaysia Beauty Pageant Fan Club (MBPFC) and Rentak Sejuta are the official media partners to the pageant.
