Groundbreaking Malaysian rapper Altimet drops "Amboi" his second single from his latest album of the same tittle, just five days after releasing "Seru" his first from it.
The infectious "Amboi" combines the authentic old skool vibe of simple hooks and beats, with an organic brand of storytelling using verses that are truly Malaysian in delivery. The explosive new single, composed and produced by #Navigator, with lyrics by Altimet, showcases the rapper's satirical social commentary and sharp observations of our nation's current situation to comedic and stirring effect, and is expected to head straight to the top.
The engaging music video for "Amboi" which downplays the bitingly critical lyrics is done in a collage cut-out style animation that is hilarious, with cameos from the likes of #JoeFlizzow, #SonaOne, #Ucopppp and #SyukSYJ and even #AzwanAli (best known for his ‘Amboi Amboi Amboi’ trademark). It is cleverly directed by #SharizalAbdHalim, with brilliant animation and motion graphics by #ZulhelmiZainuddin & #AzarikhAmran.
"Amboi" marks another major winner for Altimet, and is among his best work, if not the best.
