YouTube Time Savers
Many of you already know it takes a long time to upload video in its native format (avi, wmv, mpeg) to YouTube. The waiting can be very frustrating. The reason it takes so long is the file sizes in native video even though short clips can still be large files. The loading time is already a killer plus YouTube will still need to process the video into an FLV file before it is shown on YouTube.
You can speed it up by simple converting your source video into FLV first before uploading. Your files will be almost 10% of the original file sizes, which will reduce your uploading time and processing times at YouTube.
Furthermore converting the files on your own PC takes seconds.
How do you go about doing this?
Simple, you need an FLV Encoder to do this. You can download one for free from www.download.com
The best one is RIVA FLV Encoder 2 which is absolutely FREE!!!

Download and install that.
Once installed, run Riva, then select the files you want to encode. Before encoding set your movie size to 320 x 240 pixels (which is the standard display size on YT). If your recording is in stereo, set it to stereo. You can also set the frame rate to match the rate that you shot your video at, and also the bit rate.
In fact there are plenty of settings there to choose and play with, but thats really for the adventurous ones.
Once encoded, an FLV file will be created. You can upload this file like how you normally would, but you will notice a significant decrease in the time required to do it.
I hope this helps save time for you guys. Cheers!!!
