The drama leading up to Epsode 11
Amboi, amboi, Sly!!! Partner Hong pun you nak kebas.
"I don't want you to see Sly again", grunts Hong.
"She wants me because I am the original Hellboy, Hong!!! See my Hellboy Adidas sneakers (which I pinjam from Krishnan)"
"You can keep CC, I have Jojo now."
"Nobody's getting any girls, with my RM 700 shoes." screams Krishnan as he returns them to its cardbox vault.
"Chill guys, nobody knows women like I do - read my tee"
Which girl are they fighting over now?
Was it Sim here or ...
... or Nikki or Jojo ...
... or was it Yvonne?
"Aiyah, Ray was fighting over me lah", explains Farah to Adam.
"Are you sure or not?" interject Nikki & Nicole from the sidelines.
No matter who the girl was, seems like Pendekar Ray turned out to be the victor as Dheepan fled the scene.
Firhad couldn't be bothered who got which girl. He prefered his yo cha koi.
A dejected Jojo, stages a sit in.
While Raymond tries to woo her broken heart with his dance of love.
It was just all too funny for some to endure.
So much so that Joyce here got sick to her stomach and turned blue. (Notice the glowing red earings!!!)
It even caused Cecelia to freeze up.
The camera crew & Sunil could not believe their eyes.
Even the crew decided to stage a protest.
While some decided to take matters on their hands and issue judgements.
More pics comming up...

The fans throng to Ruums
After a long journey from Johore, Raymond's family was famished.
This cutie pie is Raymond's brother. Any takers, girls? Too bad he lives in JB.
The earlybirds.
Meanwhile upstairs the camera crew were taking a break.
While the contestants & the production crew had a briefing.
Dennis, Felicia & Dennis' dad Mr Yin (YinTF) were some of the earliest to arrive.
Belalang also hopped on over.
Felicia flanked by a pair of hot guys (who can cook?).
Still briefing ah ... I thought briefings were supposed to be ...er, "brief".
William (being as cheeky as usual) & Luisa.
The crowd was starting to grow downstairs.
Jorida's fans ... did "clumsy" Jorida bang her head against the guy on the far right as well. LOL!!!
Dheepan lost the battle to Ray upstairs, but got his angels downstairs instead.
The first Hong fan to arrive.
Ray's gang were early too.
CC's mum, brother Jake & wifey, and CC's sis Nancy.
More Celebes-brities.
Why so shy?
Joanne SYTYCD 1, with Anas & Wendy from Rentak, and Datin Bagus from the Pinkies.
Catherine, Jen & Arviena striking the pose.
More pics & review coming up.

Top 10 Review (Episode 11)
I am wondering whether there is a curse on SYTYCD Malaysia. I have noticed even from the very first season that should the parents of any contestants turn up at Ruums for the very first time especially late in the competition, they (the contestant) will certainly be eliminated from the show if they end up in the bottom six. It was no different for Raymond this week, as his parents arrived just in time from Johore to witness his exit. This was not the first incident this year either and it has happened many times in season one as well, the most notable one being the late arrival of Vish¡¯s very unsupportive family coming only to see his expulsion. I don¡¯t know whether you guys or the contestants are superstitious or not, but I would liberally recommend that parents who have not come to support their kids at Ruums as yet to stay away until the finals. But then again I could be totally off the mark and as such would urge you to ignore my suggestion.
Strange phenomenons aside, this week saw the contestants coping with the difficult task of finding synergy with new partners, as well as taking on the tedious task of learning two new routines within a period of two days. Many would have expected them to falter at this stage but looking at the performances this week, it was clear that most had the tenacity to take the bull by the horns and deliver the results. My hat goes off to them, as I am very convinced that we will be seeing lots more from the remaining finalists.
The Performances
It was an amateurish performance by Raymond & Jorida as they took on a Gym Mambo from West Side Story, which is a lame, dated (not classic) and uninspiring piece of music to dance to, in the first place. Raymond merely ¡°walked¡± the steps, while Jorida who had the technique down sufficiently, hardly managed to raise temperatures with her tame motions. What should have been a sizzling opener and the main attraction of the night, soon fizzled out to a sideshow of faults & fumbles. It was more than apparent that the pair could not find comfort in each other as they ¡°danced by numbers¡± to complete their task. It was their worst individual performances in the contest thus far.
They however faired way better in their second routine when they finally found ¡°One Vision¡± and showed us some resemblance of connectivity, by turning out a stronger and more believable routine to some pleasantly surprising choreography (I am sure everyone loved the human guitar) from Suhaili Michelin. Raymond was certainly in his element in this pop rock piece as he pulled out all the stops to immerse himself completely in his role. Jorida did enough to unleash a feisty & credible performance filled with raw energy to wow her fans but it was still far from her best.
It was an energetic and vivid performance by the pair of Sly & Jojo when their High School Musical basketball themed hip hop routine showcased on centre court in Ruums. Sly scored big with a full scale assault of pops, locks & poetic dribbles, demonstrating to all, that he is the real deal when it comes to his favourite genre. It simply oozes out of him without effort as he continues to cement himself as one of the favourite contenders in this competition. Jojo is not a natural born hip hopper, although she looks so tight you would think otherwise. That¡¯s probably because she simply works so much harder to get there. However, dancing on stage with Sly, it was evident that she was still playing catch up, as she was continuously chasing the beat throughout their routine. Jojo has all the spirit but lacks the soul. When she finds it she would be unstoppable.
Those of you who were not in Ruums would have missed (not seen on TV) the hilarious antics of the pair of kitties as they pawed their way unto the stage from the audience before the start of their second performance. Sly & Jojo had everyone already tickled pink before they even started dancing their waltz piece to Cat¡¯s ¡°Memory¡±. There¡¯s a lot you guys miss when you choose to watch it in the comfort of your homes. Not even a 50¡± LCD screen is gonna¡¯ make up for that. The performance itself was fun to watch and was highly entertaining, and many would regard it as the best of the night. I on the other hand am not so easily clouded by the theatrics, especially such cute-some ones at that (I can hear the claws of some of our forumers screeching across their LCD panels in disagreement. LOL!!!). As enjoyable as it was the waltzing wasn¡¯t that fabulous although the lifts & leaps were well executed and nearly flawless. Of the two, once again I feel that Sly was the more convincing in his role, as he played the part as the roguish and rascally ¡°kucing jalanan¡± to the hilt. Jojo did her job as cuddlesome as possible but I felt she was more of a lovable puppy than a lovelorn kitty. If you put aside all the cutesiness, the overall performance was just average. Whatever said, these two are serious contenders, and will not be holding back as the season goes through its final run.
It was really a piecemeal salsa performance by Ray & Farah. It was clean, well executed & stylish but lacked the bells and whistles to make it an extraordinary performance. The best thing about it though was both dancers were totally absorbed into each other throughout their economical routine and were clearly dancing together. And for the first time Ray exuded a lot more charm & personality into his performance, than his usual monotone look. I guess the temptress got him tempted. You can almost see the bolts of lightning cascading back and forth between their eyes. The only major thing to fault was that the massive stage was left to waste.
Their second performance may have looked very basic to many, but this is where the secret to a great performance lies. As simple as it looked, both Ray & Farah managed to transport us to open fields on a meadow somewhere out in the prairies as the pair of innocent children played unassumingly with each other. I could feel a gentle breeze blowing against the lilacs, as the bright summer sun shone on my face, while blue.tits sang in the background. Their showcase simply exuded innocence, and was a joy to watch. My hats off to Poh Choo, for a simple but beautiful choreography, which was brought to life by a masterful pair. Art at its best.
What more can I say? Black and Sim simply brought the house down with ¡°Kiss Kiss¡±. It had everything. It ran like clockwork, had great dancing, excellent role play, heaps of charisma & total entertainment value. It was FUN FUN FUN!!! It was cheeky & in your face, and had the audience clamouring for more. What a sizzling pair. I am sure some wealthy Sheikh would be quite happy to add Sim, and even Black to his harem.
Black & Sim continue to demonstrate that they may just be the best dancers in this competition when they took on their second performance with such gusto. ¡°We can certainly ¡°Bet On It¡±. It was as if they have been performing the routine together their whole life. It was tight, punchy and sophisticated. They are certainly an explosive mix that continues to impress us all. I just hope they don¡¯t stop reaching for the sky.
Hong & Cecelia hardly did any justice to ¡°Fame¡±. I suppose it is hard considering that we have certain images well imprinted in our minds when it comes to that song and that movie. Whatever the case, neither Hong nor Cecelia managed to capture our imaginations although they executed their routine sufficiently. The leaps and lifts were not extended well enough and Hong seems to disappear in bits from the scene probably because all eyes are trained on Cecelia. I guess she is still a sight to watch even when she performs averagely. It¡¯s a shame that these two good dancers failed to capitalize on their new partnership in their first performance.
They however came back strongly in their second routine, although I did feel that Hong¡¯s nerdiness was a little too contrived, having witnessed both Alam & Dennis doing the same last year. But the crowd enjoyed it, so who cares right? I do love the fact that they chose a different route to play with ¡°Grease Lightnin¡± by incorporating the geekier take on it instead of the usual cool version. Of the two, I thought Cecelia was just fantastic as she exuded her geeky girlish charms to the tee. Even Minnie Mouse couldn¡¯t have done it better. I was also impressed with their rock & roll moves, as they got all their timing right and performed it with hardly a hitch. I guess choreographer William was right. It was a piece of cake for them. Even Cecelia¡¯s ¡°panjang¡± did not affect their routine at all as Hong managed to roll her around him and lift her with finesse. It was a fitting end to a comprehensive night of performances that had the crowd in Ruums cheering for more.
The judges picked Black, Sim, Sly and Farah to be in top four this week. I guess nobody will question the validity of Black & Sim in the mix, as everyone seems to agree that they deserve their places but reading the comments within this forum it seems that some (not ¡°everyone¡± as claimed) do not feel that Sly, and especially Farah deserving of a place in the leader board. Objectively speaking, I think the judges got it spot on.
Some of you (who are fans) may think that Jojo & Hong should be given these spots because you enjoyed their cute Cats & Grease Lightnin¡¯ performances respectively. My suggestion is to watch these performances again until the novelty wears off, and then only decide who deserves the place in the top 4. Also watching the show on TV will not give you a clear picture of their performances, as you will miss a lot on the tube. Watch it live and the experience is different. Things are a lot more crystal clear live where all the misdeeds are more apparent. The saddest fact is the emotive portion of the performances hardly transcends into the living rooms. Remember the judges are watching it live in Ruums and are basing their decisions from it. Please also note that the points¡¯ differences between those who made it into the top 4 and the bottom 6 may just be on the borderline. It is also made based on two performances for the night and not one spectacular one. To our fellow forumers, don¡¯t just watch the show with your eyes, watch it with your heart as well, and you will see many things differently.
But in the end there are no right answers, and your votes eventually will decide.
This week's theme was musicals.

*phew* nice review... got to agree with you for the last with the last verse... #watch it with your heart as well#
i've been recceicing comments and suggestion from my friends and family... so i decided to sum it up and post it here.... to let the producer get a brief idea on wat malaysian audience wan for this and some other reality TV shows and competition... we wish there would be more transperancy for this competition... we audience didnt get to know where our votes go... are our votes being "vote"... so i hope the competition would come out something such as a chart or diagram to let the audience know wat's going on... the audience and supporter definitely doesn't wanna waste their money for supporting nothing.... they would wish each 50 cent is worth worting their favourite dancer....
other than that... many audience have wished to see another changing of the contestant... which they would pick their new partner randomly... IN FRONT of the audience.... so that the audience would be satisfied enough with the result...
then... we would also wish to see more genre of dances... such as latin... ballroom... something different... and special... we would love to see the contestant out of their comfort zone.... doing dance step they have never did before... encountering things far different from their original genre... i believe that the contestant is capable enough to do the dance step...
these are the opinions, suggestion, and comments that have been discussing among my friends and family... hope they'll take notice.... thx
peace

Congrats to Black and Sim being best couple!! The kiss kiss dance was totally awesome... I was watching that with my dad and my dad was like "ei, why both also female dancers ah?" Then I spent so much time arguing with him that it was Black.... a MALE dancer ... Shows how convincing Black's movement was... macam belly dancer betul betul!!! As for the other dances, I thought it was all great... Unfortunately, someone has to go home at the end of the day. Let's pray that we don't have to see all top 6 as the bottom 6 in the weeks to come...

Black and Sim are totally fire on stage every single time! The Top 10 show was the most exciting one yet. Didn't think the Rock and Roll was going to go well but the moment Hong stepped on stage with those thick-rimmed specs and geeky persona, I was sold! Super entertaining! Raymond and Jda also surprised many, I'm sure, with their gangster-feel second dance. So much energy and chemistry there. Hope to see even better dances in the next show! I miss the group dances
