Identite ft Madonna (Australia) @ Home Club, 20 Upper Circular Road, Singapore (08/10/10)
When: 8.00pm, Friday, 08 October 2010
Identity.
Definition – The state or fact of remaining the same one or ones as under varying aspects or conditions.
...I-den-ti-te aims to bring on different genres of local bands into a gathering experience. Always acting as a platform to escalate new and young talents, going forth, branding music capabilities. A new series of programming will entice freshness and depth in accordance to awareness within the local music scene. Be it, from the roots of Punk and Hardcore or the progression of Post rock and IDM to the commercial value of Pop or the swinging beats of Jazz. These series of pure friendship and music will fill your needs on every other Friday evenings at Home Club. An introduction of what dreams are made of.
What is your identity?
Share our similarities, celebrate our differences as we mark our tenth installation.
QUICK QUICK DANGER - Taking cues from 70s funk guitars, 80s electropop, 90s dance anthems and contemporary R&B the band seamlessly steps in and out of genre borders with their debut effort.
AMTERIBLE - To collectively advance the decline of the decade. Taking influences from Bagster, Unpaid Debt, Rancid, DegreesK, NOFX, Less Than Jake and other punk greats, the Amterible misfits will amplify the stage with enough chutzpah to forever brand into your skulls the sound, and, the goddamn fury, of a generation non-existent.
MADONNA (Melbourne, AUS) - An esthetic punk outfit, that inexplicably borrows from ska, noise, metal and a bunch of sounds in between that somehow becomes golden. Their ability to flip between structured playing to completely arbitrary around at the drop of the hat is a marvel. Madonna has such love for what they do and it shows in their fun and energetic live sets. Simply sheer pop punk music. Expect to witness their frantic and clearly inebriated frontman running around the stage, bashing random noise out on a synthesiser and showing off with handstands, more than actually singing.
Admission: 18 & above. S$12 (inclusive of a house pour drink)
