Contemporary jazz with Boy Katindig (piano/kybds), Margie Segers (vocals), Azmi Hairudin (sax), Norman Rahman (bass) & Lewis Pragasam (drums).
Recording artist, pianist/keyboardist extraordinaire Boy Katindig will hit the stage for 2 nights. Originally from the Philippines but now a resident of Las Vegas, USA, Boy was influenced by contemporary jazz groups like Weather Report, Return to Forever, Dreams, The Jazz Crusaders, Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and Bobby Lyle.
Boy is a resident Tour Pianist/Keyboardist for Peak recording artist, Paul Taylor and has performed with Eric Marienthal (Chick Corea’s Electrik Band) and Regina Belle on East & West Coast performances. He has also toured with Hawaii born saxman of Al Jarreau fame, Michael Paulo and Seawind vocalist Pauline Wilson. Apart from performing at the 3rd Annual GTMO Jazz Festival Guantanamo Bay (Cuba), several top Las Vegas’ venues, named acts at Bellagio’s Fontana, Picasso, Tokyo Japan and his own solo concerts in the Philippines, Kuala Lumpur and in the United States (phew!), Boy is also running his independent jazz label, Kool Kat Productions. Boy, oh boy, is he busy!
Boy will be joining forces with his old KL musical accomplices Azmi and Norman, with legendary jazz singer Margie Segers. Completing the band will be renowned Malaysian drummer, Lewis Pragasam.
