MASiF 2010 @ Pavilion, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur (15 - 19/09/10)
MASIF 2010 is the Malaysia’s first creative fusion of arts, culture, leisure and technology event in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration from September 15 thru 19, 2010 which will be held at The Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. The patron of MASiF 2010 event is YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. This is a signature event organised by Saphire Screen Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), The Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Bumiputra Designers Association (BDA), Majlis Muzik Malaysia, ArtMalaysia, YOUTH organisation, Yayasan Basmi Kemiskinan, various NGOs and government agencies which came together to make MASiF’s Malaysia Day celebration, truly a festival for all walks of life.
What MASiF 2010 will be having in five days, is truly uniquely Malaysian. Positioned as Malaysia Day’s signature event, MASiF is a product of enthusiastic volunteerism, a generous showcase of support by organizing partners and business sponsors, and the best harvest of what creative passion has to offer.
MASiF 2010 offers an experience unlike any other festival. From the young adventure seeker to the family leisure consumer, the enthusiast art collector to the free spirited music lover, MASiF 2010 has something for everyone. MASiF 2010 showcases original works of fine art, performing artists, fashions from around the globe, unique interactive activities, great food and fun in an indoor- outdoor celebrative ambiance.
Lined up for the upcoming five day festival will be performances by Anuar Zain, Zainal Abidin, Amy Search, Faizal Tahir, Jaclyn Victor, Stacy, Reshmonu, Deja Moss, Azlan & Typewriter, One Nation Emcee as well as the Aseana Percussion Unit (APU). ASEAN Divas Ruth Sahanaya from Indonesia, Rachelle Ann Go from the Phillipines, Dato’ Khadijah Ibrahim (Malaysia) and Mint from Thailand will be making special performance. Tengku Ryo, a violinist maestro from Indonesia, known for his speed and agility will also be making his special appearance during MASiF 2010.
MASiF 2010, Tangerine Models and Manhunt Malaysia by Star Search Entertainment also present to you more than 40 fashion designers such as Zang Toi, Amir Luqman, Rizman Ruzaini, Zery Zamry, Variante, Bill Keith, Michael Ong and their contemporary pieces along our 20 feet runway. Current and former Miss Malaysia/World/ Universe, including Miss Malaysia Universe 2008 Levy Li, Miss Malaysia World 2009 Thanuja, Miss Malaysia international 2010 Chantelle Chuah, Miss Malaysia World 2009 1st runner up Stephanie Chua, Miss Tourism Queen International Malaysia 2007 Carace Kwan dan Miss Tourism Queen International Malaysia 2006 1st runner up June Yap will model these exquisite collection. Finalist and winner of the Manhunt Malaysia 2010 will also join these Malaysian beauties by modeling the menswear.
In the Art segment, MASiF and ArtMalaysia will showcase ten hardcore graffiti artists, Harris Ribut ‘impressionist art / oil’, Ismail Baba ‘naive art acrylic’, Rasid Yusof ‘ nature / realist art’, Zaim Durulaman ‘contemporary art / oil’, Patrick Lazak ‘art demo / acrylic’, Khoo Khay Tat ‘ watercolorist art / realist’, Izzah Syazwina ‘young contemporary artist / mixed media’, Abby, Felicia, G & Bennitila ‘group artists with kids’, Jayasharee ‘symbolic art / acrylic’, Alisa Wan ‘fashion art’, and Amiruddin ‘figurative landscape / oil’.
During 5 days at MASIF 2010, we have the YOUTH organisation; a movement of Malaysia’s extreme performers. YOUTH will be organising an array of exciting activities such as Youth 1 Malaysia Drift show, superbike show, Youth Street King challege, martial arts, freestyler football, street dance, street soccer, air brush demonstration, parkour demonstration, convoy of motor cars and etc.
“DON’T PANIC” of London, UK will also perform. They will host INVZN – with pocket performances reflecting the urban landscape of arts, music and fashion. From street dance battles, to drum-lines, flash mobs, indie showcases to upcoming electro sets, INVZN is one event not to be missed!
A show of thanks by Malaysia’s creative community, MASiF celebrates Malaysia Day with a display of vivacious solidarity thru music, arts and style. It’s a five day celebration for all. It’s a family outing; it’s a kids day out, its mum’s time off and its dad’s chance to relax.

Amy
Amy became a household name in Malaysia as the lead singer of the rock band Search. He has also garnered fame as a screen actor and solo singer since then. He has won numerous awards in his long and illustrious career including Best Rock Album and Best Vocal Performance multiple times at the Anugerah Industri Muzik.
Anuar Zain
With a powerful voice and solid songwriting, this pop singer has made a name for himself separate from his sister, Ziana Zain, in the Malaysian music scene. His album “Anuar Zain” has cemented his place in the pantheon of Malaysian artists and has garnered him the Best Male Singer and Best New Male Singer in 1999’s Anugerah Industri Muzik.
Bell Foo
Foo Lee Chiew, knows as Bell Foo was raised in an environment surrounded with music. She began her 1st Keyboard lesson during primary school, follow with Violin. After graduated from high school, She enrolled in International College of Music Malaysia ICOM and major in Music Arrangment. Beside that, Bell also involved and composed in the production of Ah Niu, Kit Chen and Nicholas Chang’s album.
Bell represented Malaysia to 11st Pan Asia New Singer Competition in Beijing, May 2010, and she received the best excellent new singer award.
Bell currently preparing her 2nd solo album and expected to release by end of this year.
Faizal Tahir
Faizal Tahir is a Malaysian singer-songwriter and television personality. He was the first runner-up of the reality television show, One in a Million (season one). He is a former member of a Nasyid team and also a host. His debut solo album titled “Aku.Muzik.Kamu” was released on 22 November 2007 under his record label Monkey Bone.
Jaclyn Victor
Jaclyn Victor, popularly known as Jac, is a Malaysian pop singer who started her career in hotel lounges before making her name by winning the first season of Malaysian Idol. Since then she has released 6 albums, won multiple awards, and performed spectacularly on the international stage.

Reshmonu
Multi-talented, multiple award-winning 30 year old Reshmonu forged a career in the Malaysian English music scene virtually single-handedly, going from humble beginnings as a sound engineer to becoming the most recognizable face of Malaysian English music in the past four years. He has become renowned for being involved in every stage of production in his albums, from writing to producing and even directing music videos.
Stacy
Stacy, born Stracie Angie Anam, is a Malaysian singer who cites Christina Aguilera as one of her idols and professes and penchant for sambal. This Leo gained fame after winning the sixth series of Akademi Fantasia, but the journey didn’t stop there. She went on to win in the Pop star category in the 2009 Shout! Awards, Best New Female Artist in Planet Muzik 2009 and many more.
