MALAYSIAN HIP HOP & LINE DANCING CHAMPION
My name is Rebecca Lee Yen Yen, female aged 22. My interest in dancing started when I first saw my friend dance at a function one day and dancing has been on my mind since. I eventually enrolled into a dance studio at the age of 14. One fine morning, early 2004, my friend introduced me to one Miss Christine Yap, a professional Jazzercise instructor and during our casual conversation, she believed I have the "IN THING" in dancing and talked me into Jazzercise and guess what! By the end of 2004, I was a Certified Jazzercise Instructor, a feat I would not have achieved without the guidance from Miss Christine Yap, my Jazzercise instructor and also trainer of Jazzercise Malaysia.
J
azzercise as a routine workout has helped me improve my stamina and reduced my problem with asthma. Midd 2005 saw me pick up Line Dancing under the training and guidance of Miss Joanne Wong. She was the Asia Pacific Champion. Realizing that I have what it takes to be a Champion in Line Dancing she persuaded and encouraged me to participate in Line Dancing competitions. In the very beginning, I did nopt have the courage to participate but with encouraging words from everyone around me, my instructor, Miss Joanne Wong in particular, I finally picked up my courage and the rest is history.
