There is no point of getting angry like what others have been saying.. Just imagine if the one annoyed u in front is whoever-that-is-close-to-u.. and u dont recognise them when talking to them.. moments later u start argueing with them and start cursing.. the next time when u see them it will be how-so awkward.. i cant imagine that then..
Have u guys been to any of those LIVE CONCERT...?? i think that is much much more crowded and ppl even sit on their friends and start dancing up there to get attention.. What more if someone in front of u is like 6ft9inch and u are like only 5ft6inch.. takkan u will start scolding him and say Y CANT U GROW LIL BIT SHORTER just for your own good.. they cant help it by growing lil bit shorter and so do other ppl that made the posters.. they thought it will be great to have a BIGGGG posters so everyone from far can see it but they forgot bout other ppl (which we cant blame them cause the point of making the posters is to "ADVERTISE" their favourites).. publicity that is.. They dont waste money just to BLOCK PPL's VIEW.. stupid if they really do that.. so in that case we cant call them to cut off half of the poster down and hold up only the other half of the poster.. in order that u can watch the show right..?? ;D ;D
I thought it would be great if we can tolerate this kind of thing.. just move aside or perhaps far away from where the posters is.. find a spot which u can see.. if is not in front of the stage.. move further back and u can see better.. at least that is what i do than wasting my energy fighting for a small small thing.. and yeah.. they too wont have much energy to hold up the posters THE WHOLE NIGHT..
As for those who got the responsibility of holding the posters.. kindly be more alert and tolerate too yeah.. not saying u guys are wrong but ppl who go to the live shows want a view of how they do on stage too.. if ppl start telling u that u are blocking them means yeah.. every single second when ppl is performing u are really blocking their view.. In the end of this posting.. i would like to conclude that I HOPE EVERYONE CAN TOLERATE WELL...!! WHO KNOW U MIGHT BE GOOD FRIENDS IN THE END..!!! ;D ;D craps.. hehehehehe.. cheeerssss..

It's interesting to see so much focus in these discussions placed on the actions of the live audience instead of the dancers. And I can't say I'm surprised because I believe the audience plays a very major part in the energy of the live-to-air show like SYTYCD.
From my experience I found the vibe in Ruums to be quite electric mainly due to the very vocal and obviously passionate crowd who were there to support the dancers. But, as is always the case when you stuff that many people into a venue, there are always bound to be some uncomfortable moments as people get in each other's way. This is unavoidable as the crowd jostle and shuffle around trying to get the best vantage point from which to show their support. Throw in things like banners and posters and the 'viewing' space becomes even more cramped.
My opinion about the 'complaints' that some of you have about who you like/don't like in the crowd - or who held a poster up too high or who took your space/didn't take your space? - Live with it!
Come on people! It's a LIVE show. Going to watch it is a fun (and maybe a little bit chaotic) experience .... Enjoy the experience! SAVOUR it! Without a doubt every single person in the live audience is there to have a good time and show support for the dancers on stage. Yeah, maybe you might personally not like when 'this' happened or maybe you were unhappy about 'that' ... but is it REALLY necessary to go around naming names and putting a spotlight on individuals who are, after all, only there for the same reasons you are? To have a good time. What value does doing that bring to this experience?
I know for certain that you are all passionate about the programme (you wouldn't be in this forum if you weren't) and the passion for this programme is, I believe, contagious and well deserved - I know I am too. And here's why I LOVE the show -
I believe the dancers in 8TV's SYTYCD are some of the BEST examples of what is GREAT about Malaysia and it's people: they're hard-working, they're committed, they're focused, they're EXTREMELY good at what they do, they're passionate, they're ALL beautiful and best of all, they're a multi cultural melting pot!!! From Bharatnayam dancers doing Hip Hop to Contemporary dancers doing Fox Trot to Line dancers doing Malay Contemporary. In ONE episode it symbolises what I believe Malaysia SHOULD be about.
Therefore, I choose to Honour THAT aspect of the show. I choose to Respect THAT in 8TV's SYTYCD. For me, it's about the dancer's. That doesn't mean I don't have my favourites. It doesn't I PERSONALLY am rooting for each and every one of them. But what value would it serve for me to name names and nit pick about who I like or don't like ... cause I see value only in support, whilst acknowledging that not everyone sees things my way and everyone has their own 'truth'.
... which means that the way that I 'thought' something happened is not necessarily the way someone else would see it happen.
And if one of the dancer's parents was in front of me screaming and shouting or waving a poster in support of his/her son or daughter, I would probably say "Go ahead Uncle/Auntie ... you must be very proud. You deserve to be proud."
That's just MY opinion.
Rock on people! The show is awesome. The dancer's - The Best of MALAYSIA.

Me and my grp of frens encountered the same issue as wat Azzy mentioned earlier on. Some supporters being unreasonable and monopoly most of the space jux becoz THEY are in a 'big gang'?? Wat de heck?! I was @ Ruums for 2 weeks now and each time I'll see de same group of people standing at the same spot.. so means wat?! They already the 'Sam Seng' for that territory spot issit?? Now i wonder where are those crew whois supposed to take charge of space allocation??? Each week I only heard ppl shooing us to step behind the red&white line but not giving us a fair space to support our FAVES!!! Is this a first come first serve basis or BIG gang will get Good Spot now?!
Seems like many also gotten the bad experiences from the ON LIVE SHOW @ Ruums.. bein hoo-haah by 1 or 2 8tv crews that jeopardise the entire image of the team (like wat Qiyi had experienced).. and supporters being unreasonable and such, I wonder WHO can improve situations like these and WHO can we rely on to feel comfortable and not 'fighting with others' to watch a LIVE show..
If any of the 8tv crew is reading now, kindly enlighten the many pathetic audience/supporters! Anyway, we still love this show..!!

Hey guys,
We can go on and on about this, but the bottom line is, some people do get caught up in the euphoria of things and forget that they are actually nice, considerate people themselves.
Posters, banners and mums can all be great. But sometimes we must show a little consideration to people all around us as they are also there to give support and enjoy the show. Our negative actions will reflect badly on the people we support, and may have negative implications on them as well.
Let's not delve too much into who is right and wrong (although there may be some who are beyond redemption), as I believe everyone here only wants the best for their favourites and never really meant any discomfort to others while they were caught in the excitement of things.
Let's not be too hasty to judge, or to turn hostile. I believe everyone here are decent people who were just a little over pasionate in the heat of the moment.
We all love our mums, and of course mums are always right, at least to us, and we will defend their honor till kingdom come. But sometimes even proud mums do make mistakes too, perhaps not intentionally.
And to the fans, give all those mums, or even dads, who love their children so dearly, some room to go a little wild too. It's not often they get to see their children on centrestage being celebrated by so many. Let them have their moment too.
Cheers.

how else was she suppose to hold the poster???just at chest level the whole night or at waist level??? Why pick on my mom and not the rest???I know my mom very well to say that she is NOT the type of person to cover other peoples view for that matter. Lovely Jo..... if i were you and somebody else was talking about my mum like that... i'll be angry too... but that's not what MJ tried to say..... besides Jimmy being in the bottom 4, this also a reason why Waterlily became Firelily for 4 days ;D ;D 1stly, u said how your mom should held that posters? ok, last 2 weeks, we (MJ and I) were yelled at by 8tv crew... again, yelled at... a very loud one.... because of holding posters more than chest level (at that particular spot lah - bcoz block camera maaa) So, i personally said to your mum (if your mum is the aunty in polka dot lah...), "aunty, i think if u hold that posters too high, nanti, the 8tv people will scream at you..." my intention is, i dun want an older lady to be yelled at, i know how sensitive an elderly person could be, and i know how 8tv crew is very very capable of being 'rude'.... as simple as that.... and just an info, i'm a person who is brought up by my parents with all type of manners (trust me it is not fun - even when we are kids, having elbows on the dinner table while having dinner = wrongggggggg )... and i so know how to talk very nicely to an elderly... so, with an angry face, your mum yelled at me, "eh, you think i only lived for three years ahhh , no need to tell me what to do or not to do" .... wahhh... me, 'terkesima', 'terkedu' and i just stunned for 10 seconds OMG, how rude??? now you tell me Jo, do you think i'm a liar? pls lah..... everybody goes there (ruums) with one objective = to support the dancers.... yes, your mum is very proud of you... even i'm very proud of you... but are you the only daughter or son who is in that show? Brancy's mom have been there for 3 weeks and I didn't see she screamed at anybody.... why pick your mum not the rest? simple answer babe, the rest didn't act like your mum.... let me put it this way, the whole world is like.. hmmm... like Newton 3rd law... simplified version ;D [glow=red,2,300]"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction"[/glow] ;D what you give, you get back baby... Sorry, ampun, mintak maaf, if we (MJ and I) hurt you and your mum in any way.... we definitely didn't want her to get 'hurt' that night, we thought of being protective for her, and yet we were called liars *sighhhhhhhhhhhhh* and definitely we have no intention to make you sad.... wut to do....

Hi Jo, don't be angry on this. Pls remember this, a reality show always can happen of unhappy things. U have to be cool. Not to let this whole thing go up your nerve. As the authors have appologised on the matter, pls do forgive them. As this forum is for ppl to voice the unhappiness and also discuss on the matters happened on that nite. So, it is just what they said(or I said) u have to be cool. Not to get angry on small matter. I know u understand your mom's well, but sometimes our own parents will do something that even as their children won't believe. So, pls be cool, ok. Don't let this spoilt the mood or the partnership between u and your partner. Smile!
