Track Listings & Brief
1. Star (Lagu/Lirik: Kieran Kuek, Penerbit: Kieran Kuek)
Lagu ¡§Star¡¨ merupakan hasil ciptaan Kieran. Anak kelahiran Singapura yg mempunyai Ijazah Perfileman & Produksi TV khusus dalam bidang Muzik Produksi ini punya pengalaman yg cukup luas dalam bidang muzik. Beliau yg menetap di Australia dari tahun 1978 ¡V 1999 ini memulakan kerjaya di Malaysia dgn syarikat rakaman Synchrosound & kemudiannya bekerja di 2am Studio (www.twoam.com.my).
Kieran ketika dihubungi menamakan Jac sebagi artis yg begitu berbakat & cukup senang memberikan kerjasama. Menurut Kieran ¡§Star¡¨ merupakan sebuah ¡§fun-pop song¡¨ dimana liriknya berkisarkan tentang seorang wanita yg mahu memenangi hati bekas kekasihnya kembali.
Lagu ini merupakan lagu tema ¡§One In A Million¡¨ ¡V sebuah program reality di 8TV & TV3.
2. Jealous (Lagu/Lirik: Kieran Kuek, Penerbit: Kieran Kuek)
¡§Jealous¡¨ merupakan sebuah lagu berentak ¡§pop/hip hop¡¨ yg juga dicipta sepenuhnya oleh Kieran. Kieran menamakan ¡§jealous¡¨ sebagai ¡§funky track¡¨ dan lagu yg penuh ¡§attitude¡¨.
3. Layu Sebelum Berkembang (Lagu: A. Riyanto, Penerbit: Aubrey Suwito)
Jac turut menyanyikan semula lagu ¡§Layu Sebelum Berkembang¡¨ yg pernah dipopularkan oleh Emilia Contessa. Lagu ini tampil dengan musik yg lebih moden & lebih ¡§fresh¡¨ telah diberi nafas baru oleh saudara Aubrey Suwito. Menariknya, Aubrey turut menyelitkan elemen keroncong di dalam lagu ini.
4. Cinta Tiada Akhir (Lagu: Azlan Abu Hassan, Lirik: Sulusarawak, Penerbit: A.A. Hassan
Sebuah lagu balada yg pasti buat anda terpesona. Melodi lagu ini cukup indah dengan bait-bait lirik yg cukup puitis. Lirik yg berkisarkan tentang cinta & harapan supaya cinta akan berakhir dgn perkahwinan & kekal selamanya. Lagu ini merupakan lagu ciptaan seorang composer yg tidak asing lagi iaitu saudara Azlan Abu Hassan, manakala liriknya telah ditulis oleh bakat baru Sulusarawak.
Menurut Azlan lagu ini telah dicipta sekitar Oktober 2005 khas utk Jac & lagu ¡§Cinta Tiada Akhirnya¡¨ ini mempunyai ¡§range¡¨ yg cukup besar yg menguji kekuatan vocal Jac.
¡§Bekerja dgn Jaclyn victor saya rasakan sebagai satu pengalaman yg cukup berharga. Beliau merupakan seorang menyanyi yg mempunyai vokal yg luarbiasa & selalu melakukan ¡§homework¡¨ sebelum memulakan rakaman.¡¨ ¡V Azlan Abu Hassan
5. Superwoman (Lagu/Lirik: Kenny Edmonds, Antonio Reld, D. Simmons, Penerbit: Aubrey Suwito)
Lagu ¡§Superwoman¡¨ ini merupakan salah satu kegemaran Jac di mana Jac kerap membawa lagu ini ketika membuat persembahan. Lgu ini telah disususn semula oleh saudara Aubrey Suwito. Jac telah membawakan lagu ¡§Superwoman¡¨ ini dengan caranya tersendiri.
6. Inilah Masanya (Lagu: Audi Mok, Lirik: Nur Fatimah, Penerbit: Audi Mok)
¡§Fast Track¡¨ ciptaan Audi Mok ini tampil dgn muzik yg cukup ¡§simple¡¨. Audi nyata kreatif dgn menyelitkan sedikit elemen-elemen rock di dalam lagu yg patinya memberi sedikit kelainan dlm album Jac ini.
7. Selagi Bertahan (Lagu: Azlan Abu Hassan, Lirik: Amran Omar, Penerbit: A.A. Hassan)
Sebuah lagi lagu balada ciptaan Azlan Abu Hassan yg didatangkan dlm melodi yg cukup indah. Liriknya pula telah dihasilkan oleh saudara Amran Omar yg merupakan permintaan peribadi dari Jac sendiri. Lirik lagu ini banyak berkisarkan tentang kekuatan sesebuah cinta.
¡§Lagu ini agar sukar utk dinyanyikan tetapi sekali lagi Jac telah memberikan ¡§magic performance¡¨ utk lagu ini.¡¨ ¡V Azlan Abu Hasssan
8. Cepat-Cepat (Lagu/Lirik: Mode Ruffedge, Penerbit: Kieran Kuek)
¡§Cepat-Cepat¡¨ merupakan ¡§single¡¨ pertama bagi album ini. Lagu ini merupakan ciptaan sepenuhnya oleh Mode ruffedge. Lagu yg cukup ¡§catchy¡¨ dgn bait-bait lirik yg cukup ¡§simple¡¨ ini pasti menagkap telinga anda.
Menurut Mode lagu ini telah dicipta ketika beliau bersama Ruffedge lagi. Namun ketika diminta oleh Ahmad Izham utk memberikan lagu buat jac, mode telah menukar liriknya sedikit. Lagu ini berkisarkan tentang percintaan dan lamaran seorang jejaka kepada keksaih hatinya.
¡§Jac merupakan seorang menyanyi yg begitu berbakat besar & mempunyai vokal yg cukup mantap. Saya begitu senang berkerjasama dengannya.¡¨ ¡V Mode Ruffedge
Lagi ¡§cepat-Cepat¡¨ yg berkonsepkan ¡§Pop-R&B¡¨ telah menguji dan menyerlahkan vokal Jack e tahap paling maksima. Beliau sendiri tidak pernah menyangka lagu ¡§cepat-Cepat¡¨ akan terpilih sebagi ¡§single¡¨ pertama kerana semua komposer-komposer yg terlibat di dalam album ini merupakan nama-nama yg besar. ¡§Saya cukup gembira & merasa cukup bertuah apabila lagu ini dipilih sebagia ¡§single¡¨ pertama bagi album Jac.

First Listens ¡V ¡§Inilah Jac"
Milo & me were fortunate enough to be invited as representatives of Jacsville (now acknowledged as the official fan club) to the pre-launch press conference & listening party which was held yesterday 5th July 2006 at Sony BMG¡¦s office, and had the privilege to have a first listen to 8 out of 10 tracks from Jac¡¦s new album ¡§Inilah Jac¡¨. We also managed to videotape the entire proceedings as well, the transcripts of which we will publish here shortly.
It¡¦s 4.40am in the morning and I just finished having a second listen from the captured video. I have to tell you guys this, ¡§Inilah Jac¡¨ is gonna be MASSIVE!!! I loved every single track on the album. It definitely looks like this album is gonna churn out more than a few hits and win another string of awards. I can almost guarantee the first single ¡§Cepat Cepat¡¨ (written by Mode Ruffedge) is gonna get tremendous airplay, and will be a mega hit for Jac. It¡¦s so fresh and very different, that you guys are gonna be in for a treat.
I also absolutely love the power ballad by Azlan Abu Hassan called ¡§Cinta Tiada Akhir¡¨, which I believe will be the staple of every Malay music lover for many years to come. Another massive hit in the making, is ¡§Inilah Masanya¡¨ (written by Audi Mok), which will simply get you jumpin out of your chair.
I can also see the refreshed version of ¡§Layu Sebelum Berkembang¡¨, originally popularized by Emilia Contessa, as another fan favourite. Jac is just awesome on this track.
Both the extreme urban tracks ¡§Star¡¨ (OIAM theme song) & ¡§Jealous¡¨ (both written by Kieran Kuek) will definitely find favour with the hip crowd, and everyone at Jacsville. I especially love ¡§Jealous¡¨ with its Indian inspired intro and funky arrangements.
Last but not least is the other power ballad by Azlan Abu Hassan called ¡§Selagi Bertahan¡¨ which no one else but Jac does best. Another crowd pleaser.
At the time of the pre-launch, the other 2 songs were not as yet available for listens, but from the facial expressions and body language of everyone involved, these may be the secret arsenal, that will complete and seal the deal for an explosive second effort.
On the whole, this looks and feels like one tremendous album which I am almost certain will make history. Izham (CEO of 8TV) summed it up best: ¡§An extraordinary album for an extraordinary singer¡¨. Couldn¡¦t agree more.
I can¡¦t wait to lay my hands on my copy. Actually COPIES to be exact. I know I will need a few cause I am gonna wear out those CDs for sure.
