News Release: Beam Artistes Edited & Compiled By: Anastasia & Dragon
Mr. World Singapore 2024 #ReachingHigher: Celebrating Philanthropy, Purpose, and Prestige.
The stage is set, the lights are bright, and anticipation fills the air as Mr World Singapore 2024 prepares to crown the next ambassador of the strength, intellect, and philanthropy necessary to be the perfect gentleman for the modern age. Their launch event, in collaboration with Zouk Singapore and DJ George Leong, is scheduled for 28th April 2024. This launch promises to bring back the excitement of pageantry with a meaningful focus on giving back to society.
In a world where the spotlight often shines solely on beauty and glamour, Mr. World Singapore 2024 seeks to redefine the narrative by emphasizing the importance of purpose-driven leadership and philanthropy. Contestants are not only judged on their charisma and charm but also on their commitment to making a positive impact on their communities and the world at large.
“We believe that a true winner lies in the ability to uplift and empower others,” says Samuel Seow, CEO of Beam Artistes.
“Our pageant celebrates not only physical attractiveness but also inner strength, intelligence, and a genuine desire to create change."
”Beyond the glitz and glamour, Mr. World Singapore 2024 supports various charitable causes. Contestants are actively involved in fundraising efforts and community service initiatives, using their platform to raise awareness and drive meaningful change. The pageant also promises an unforgettable experience filled with excitement, camaraderie, and fun. From captivating performances to stunning fashion showcases, to the craziness of Zouk’s legendary Sunday Parties, attendees can expect a night of entertainment that transcends traditional pageants. We want our audience to be entertained and inspired,” adds Seow.
“Mr. World Singapore 2024 is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of diversity, talent, and the power of humanity to make a difference. It's important to recognize that society should not just concentrate on breaking down barriers only for women. It's about dismantling the constraints that limit us all. In a world where traditional gender roles are being challenged, it's difficult to be a man. Men are expected to conform to stereotypes of strength and stoicism, while vulnerability and emotion are often suppressed. But as we embrace equality and inclusivity, let's remember that it's okay for men to express their emotions, to seek help when needed, and to redefine what it means to be strong. Together, let's build a society where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive authentically,” Seow concluded.
As the countdown to Mr. World Singapore 2024 begins, anticipation continues to build, with contestants eagerly preparing to showcase their talents, intelligence, and passion for philanthropy on the pageant stage.
This year, there will be 7 grand winners at the end of the Coronation Night, scheduled to be held on 15th August 2024:
1. Mr. World Singapore 2024
2. Mr. World Singapore 2024 (Senior)
3. Mr. Grand Singapore 2024
4. Mr. Global Singapore 2024

It is truly a platform that will create opportunities for the finalists when their Mr. World journeys conclude and real-life resumes even in our current situation – living in an endemic.
This year, after a series of open and closed-door auditions, Mr World Singapore 2024 has distilled 25 finalists for the Class of 2024 - each unique and representing a different face of modern manhood. From an ex-convict to a millionaire philanthropist, each of these men possesses a story which deserves to be told and unique missions in their lives seeking to be carried out. These stories tell of the different elements which have converged to build their unique character traits, forming the persons they are today. In every edition of the Beam Search, we desire to see the stories that can change perceptions to encourage societal growth, and change lives, through stories that can inspire the whole of Singapore.
A total of 25 contestants will be vying for the winning title(s) this year, with the youngest contestant at 19 years old and the oldest contestant at 57 years old. Here's a small cross-section of the candidates who are participating this year, each with their own unique story:
Douglas Pong
Douglas Pong, 19 years old, Height: 170cm, Weight: 73kg & Student.
Douglas’s path to competing in Mr. World Singapore 2024 is a compelling tale of true transformation. His prison stint was extended due to misconduct, but a night of deep reflection set him on a new course.
Douglas decided to turn his life around, parting ways with his gang and immersing himself in finance and personal development books, a decision that reshaped his future. Today, Douglas is not only a student and junior bodybuilder but also the Head Class Representative, fully committed to his studies in Sports Management. He has left his troubled past behind and now focuses on self-improvement and staying fit, both mentally and physically. Douglas is a living example that one can overcome a troubled past, and he's eager to share his message that with determination and the right mindset, anything is possible.

His message is clear: persistence leads to breakthroughs, and the light at the end of the tunnel is indeed within reach.
Daryl Ng
Daryl Ng, 31 years old, Height: 1.85m, Weight: 95kg & Mobile Fitness Trainer.
Sometimes, when things seem like they're at their worst, it can be a sign that something better is on the horizon. A few years ago, Daryl experienced a setback in his career when he was scammed out of S$300,000 by a close friend for whom he had stood as guarantor for a loan. The resulting lawsuits and police investigations took a toll on him, leaving him struggling with debt, pressure, and a decline in his career, savings, relationships, and fitness. To cope with the stress, he turned to alcohol and isolation. Thankfully, Daryl had a strong support system made up of family, friends, and clients who helped him overcome the difficulties and start rebuilding his life. During this time, he saw an opportunity to join Mr World Singapore 2024 and use his experience to spread positivity to others who had gone through similar setbacks and have been victims of scams. In his own words: "It's important to give yourself time to process the emotions that come with being cheated, betrayed, and hurt. However, don't isolate yourself for too long because life is short. Take small steps towards self-improvement, whether it be reading books or working out, to build your strength and face bigger obstacles. It's not easy, but the only way to move forward is to keep pushing."
