KANDORA! UNITY THROUGH FOLK STORY MUSIC!

KANDORA! has started the new year 2023 by inviting everyone from all over Malaysia to unite through 'drumming'. KANDORA means a movement of unity with play the drums Through the slogan "Drums of Unity", KANDORA believes in unity can be nurtured with the power of drum music rhythm that can be played by people at the same time.
KANDORA! managed to gather a total of 2300 entries and 862 people participants were present to play drums together with only using buckets and ladles that have been held at the shopping center AEON Midtown Falim last 21st January 2023. What is interesting is that this event has also been successfully recorded in the 'Malaysian Book of Records' as an event of our unity as Malaysians through mass bucket drum game.
This "Respect and Harmony" drum tour aims to highlight the value and the message contained in the lyrics of folklore to evoke feelings unity among the Malaysian audience. During a drum performance going on, bucket drums were arranged around the area performance to be played by the audience present accompanied by music band and drum facilitator. Not only that, through this show as well, KANDORA! want to spread the message of unity "Respect and Harmony" in where the audience present can gather to feel the experience drumming harmoniously as one Malaysia regardless of age, gender and race.
KANDORA! supports SDG 16 : Department of Economic and Social Affairs which focus on the formation of a peaceful and inclusive society for sustainable development, providing access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. The "Hormat dan Harmoni" drum tour consists of three components — collaborative collaborations and programs that make up ability to support B40 and marginalized communities through distribution "Abundance Bags" to orphans and children, increase awareness and fundraising for the local performing arts community which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic through the sale of goods KANDORA! and finally, in the spirit of sharing joy and prosperity in conjunction with the Chinese New Year, KANDORA! has given attractive gifts such as iPad, Huawei 'earbuds', smart watches and many more to the lucky participants!
This drum tour "Hormat dan Harmoni" is supported by ArtsFas, Yayasan Hasanah, Malaysian Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ipoh City Council (MBI), and Malaysian Indian Youth Council Buntong (MIYC) and AEON Big is a key partner by providing the venue and sponsoring the bucket and ladle.
