Amir Jahari & Lydbie First Single Joget : Made In Malaysia
EVER (AMIR JAHARI AND LYDBIE) FIRST SINGLE "JOGET : MADE IN MALAYSIA" ALBUM
Have you ever, completely created by Amir Jahari and sung by Amir Jahari and Lydbie is the first bet of 10 songs contained in the album Joget : Made In Malaysia.
Album Joget : Made in Malaysia is a project published by Luncai Emas Sdn Bhd with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) through the Digital Content Fund. It is a project that elevates the dance rhythm into the latest works of the younger generation.
In addition, the objective of publishing this album is to increase the number of Malay dance songs to a more contemporary, innovative, dynamic version and be part of the rejuvenation process of Malaysian music. This album combines the expertise of professional artists, lecturers and music and art students from four public institutions of higher education, namely Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA) with new future artists such as Luca Sickta, Kmy Kmo and Putri Khareeza.
"It is my ambition that traditional Malaysian rhythms become a "force" in the creation of modern Malaysian music. So by seeing the popularity of "dance" and "world beat" music, I was called to make Malaysian traditional beats a bet because of the "dance" element present in all these traditional beats. Joget was chosen for the first bet" said Dato M. Nasir at the Joget: Made In Malaysia album press conference at the World Trade Center (WTC) last October.
Amir Jahari who is originally from Sarawak, is quite famous for his achievements as an artist, creator, and musician who brings music combined with ethnic, folk and pop sounds, this time in harmony with Lydbie, a young singer also from Sarawak. His music genre is jazz and r&b. Lydbie has been involved in the world of music since the age of 10.
According to Amir Jahari, "Lagu Pernahkah is my new work in 2022, I wrote it in front of the Jamek Mosque, Kuching Sarawak, about awareness of "mental illness" such as depression and "anxiety". Many have been affected after the Covid-19 pandemic, not only the finances of Malaysians are affected, but also their mental well-being."
"I created this song and lyrics for us to be aware of hidden mental illness and so that we always say hello to anyone we know, because we won't know their mental state unless we ask. I hope this song can give some encouragement to those who have this problem" said Amir again.
''As soon as Amir's brother told me, I felt excited about this project. I also tried to fill the song with what I understood where this song tells about the types of human feelings that are at the lowest point of life. Because sometimes, small things we do or say can give a big impact to others. This music video was shot in a short period of time and was conducted in Sarikei because Lydbie lives there. For me, acting experience is a bit less and clumsy but it's not wrong to try, so I do the best I can. Hopefully this song and music video can give a little comfort feeling to the listeners. Clear words from Lydbie.
"I am also very grateful to Luncai Emas, for giving Amir and Lydbie the opportunity to produce this project together, to the music production managed by Abdul Karim, as well as the video production managed by Sazel Sapihan. Thank you for all your efforts to make this project a reality." Amir said at the end of the conversation.
YM DR. KING ISKANDAR BIN RAJA HALID:
Heritage Art Advisor - Joget Made In Malaysia
According to Dr. Raja Iskandar from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan as the heritage art adviser for the album Joget: Made in Malaysia, "The combination of this couple's singing brings the melody and taste of contemporary youth that is easy to appreciate and is set against a simple and unpretentious composition of joget rhythms."
Luncai Emas hopes that this dance album effort will get the support of all old and young fans and from radio, television, print and electronic media.
The song Pernahkah has the potential to become a song of interest to all groups and can be heard on all streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, iTunes and the music video can also be seen on the Luncai Emas YouTube channel soon.
