ASEAN India Music Festival (AIMF) 2022 @ Purana Qila, New Delhi, India (18 - 20/11/2022)
The participation of the Malaysian Traditional Orchestra (OTM), Istana Budaya at the ASEAN India Music Festival (AIMF) 2022.
7 musicians of the Malaysian Traditional Orchestra (OTM) of Istana Budaya who named their group Instamuzika will participate in the ASEAN India Music Festival at Purana Qila for 3 days from 18th to 20th November 2022.
The Instamuzika group consisting of group leader Yazid Zakaria, Leyzam Ali, Leslie Anak Eli, Shahwal, Fikri, Abdullah Omar (Bob) and Dhiya as singers will bring local traditional musical instruments such as sape sape and reular songs and Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Joget 106, Gurindam Jiwa, Admiral of the King in the Sea and Te Geleng-Geleng.
Yazid Zakaria informed that Instamuzika will also perform at Ashoka University on the 17th November 2022 as one of the efforts to fuel the promotion of the richness and authenticity of Malaysian art and culture through music performance activities.
Instamuzika's participation in the festival is through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) with the aim of giving more exposure to the international community on traditional musical instruments that represent the diversity of Malaysia etc.
The ASEAN India Music Festival 2022 is a program of cooperation between the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the cultural organization Seher in conjunction with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of ASEAN - India diplomatic relations.
The festival featuring 10 artists from all over Southeast Asia including Instamuzika is open to the public for free from 6.30 pm.
Instamuzika is an ethnic fusion group that was established in 2005 and all the musicians in the group can play various modern and traditional musical instruments.
