Dashing Johorean Darren Lam Chuan Lik, a 30-year-old pianist and founder of De Virtu'ozo Academy of Music, was crowned Mister PanContinental International Malaysia 2022 at the Grand Campbell Hotel in Kuala Lumpur yesterday afternoon. The Puchong, Selangor resident will be representing Malaysia at the international finals of the male competition in Vietnam from 3rd to 6th March 2022. This is the second major title for the music entrepreneur after winning Mister Celebrity Malaysia 2020/21 last year.
Joining Darren in Ho Chi Minh City will be a confident and charismatic 11-year-old Nur Ilyasha Qistina Azmi, from Klang, Selangor, who was crowned Miss Pre Teen International Malaysia 2022, at the same event yesterday afternoon. Qistina is no stranger to kids modelling, talent and pageant competitions, having won many including a gold medal at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in 2020. She is expected to be a strong contender in the finals in Vietnam.
Adding another accolade to her trophy case yesterday was rising star 8-year-old Nur Quraisya Quinn, also from Klang Selangor, who will be representing Malaysia at the Global Kids Pageant 2022 in Sanya, China in June. She is also no stranger to kids competitions.
The crowning ceremony was organised by Malaysian license holders and award-winning event organisers Double Event Management, with the Malaysian representatives being selected by an appointed panel of industry professionals.
The crowning ceremony was witnessed by special guests that included professional model Ahya Rosli, award-winning catwalk guru Sharwita, I Am Model Search Winner 2020 Rosini Keneappan and actress-model-entrepreneur Haneesya Hanee.
