COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 21st October 2021
Infections nationwide surged up to 6,210 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,413,592.
Selangor remains at the top of the leaderboard, with 1,027 new cases, with Sarawak next, rising slightly to 725, while Sabah also surged upward to register 651 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur rose by nearly double to report 343 new cases while Putrajaya went up to 29 new cases.
Both Johore & Kelantan declined further to report 595 and 540 new cases respectively.
Kedah rose slightly to report 319 new cases while Perlis climbed back up a little to report 33 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan report 235 and 167 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang climbed significantly to 384 while Terengganu went up to 385.
Up north, Penang rose by 3 to 381 while Perak reported 393 new cases for the second day in a row.
Labuan dropped to 2 new cases.
Overall, all states except Selangor, remain below the 1K mark despite a minor upward swing in nearly all.

Deaths rose to 96, taking the total fatalities to 28,234.
94.3% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 97.3% have received their first dose. 5.7% are still unvaccinated. 43.4% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 71.8% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
