COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 20th October 2021
Infections nationwide dropped slightly to 5,516 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,407,382.
Selangor remains at the top of the leaderboard, rising past the 1K mark once again to record 1,004 new cases yesterday, with Sarawak next, rising a little to 767, while Johore registers 610 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur drops slightly to report 189 new cases while Putrajaya drops significantly to 5 new cases.
Both Sabah & Kelantan decline further to report 426 and 565 new cases respectively.
Kedah drops slightly to report 312 new cases while Perlis climbs back up to report 29 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan report 112 and 127 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang climbs a little to 232 while Terengganu goes up to 355.
Up north, Penang drops to 378 while Perak rises with 393 new cases reported.
Labuan climbs by 10 to register 12 new cases.
Overall, all states except Selangor which had a sudden surge in new cases, are now below the 1K mark with nearly most continuing to show a steady decline.

9,401 have recovered yesterday taking the total recoveries to 2,297,289.
Active cases dips further to 81,955.
6,466 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 666 in ICU, and 329 on ventilators.
Deaths went up to 76, taking the total fatalities to 28,138.
94.2% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 97.3% have received their first dose. 2.7% are still unvaccinated. 38.7% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 71.2% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
