COVID-19 Status Update as of 11.59 pm, 19th October 2021
Infections nationwide rose slightly to 5,745 new cases yesterday, taking the cummulative total to 2,401,866.
Selangor remains at the top of the leaderboard, rising slightly to 888 new cases yesterday, with Sarawak next, rising up to 749, while Sabah follows suit, moving up to register 695 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur rises slightly to report 259 new cases while Putrajaya climbs a bit to 39.
Both Johore & Kelantan decline slightly to report 649 and 597 new cases respectively.
Kedah rises slightly to report 352 new cases while Perlis drops by more than two thirds, to report 5 new cases.
Melaka and Negeri Sembilan drop to 168 and 114 new cases respectively. On the east coast, Pahang drops slightly to 223 while Terengganu drops to 281.
Up north, Penang rises to 393 while Perak also rises with 341 new cases reported.
Labuan registers another 2 new cases.
Overall, all states are now below the 1K mark with nearly most continuing to show a steady decline.

8,933 have recovered yesterday taking the total recoveries to 2,287,888.
Active cases dips further to 85,916.
6,583 of these cases are currently hospitalised with 676 in ICU, and 330 on ventilators.
Deaths dropped slightly to 69, taking the total fatalities to 28,062.
94% of the adult population have already received their complete vaccinations, while 97.2% have received their first dose. 2.8% are still unvaccinated. 33% of adolescents are fully vaccinated while 70.6% of the total population are fully vaccinated.
