About Lester Ang
Fascinated with the jazz vernacular from a young age, Lester Ang further shaped his musical voice as a woodwind instrumentalist and soloist in the Boston and Chicago music scenes. He honed his craft in the musical pits of New England (Grey Gardens, Annie, Cabaret, Avenue Q, Assassins) and in the after-hours sessions in South Side Chicago.
About Aya Sekine
Boasting a cross-continental career in music that spans over three decades and multifarious roles, Japanese jazz pianist, composer, bandleader Aya Sekine commands a reputation for being one of Asia’s most illustrious jazz pianist-composers. Known for her distinctive style of jazz—a mixture of bebop, straight-ahead and free jazz that is at once hard-swinging, dynamic and relentlessly diverse—she has firmly established herself as a fervent advocate of the art form within the region.
About Tama Goh
Tama Goh, a member of the Jeremy Monteiro Jazz Band since 1989, has performed in countries like Japan, Russia, USA, Canada and New Zealand. Together with Jeremy Monteiro, he has worked with the likes of Terumasa Hino, Carmen Bradford and Eldee Young. He has also performed with pop artists like Ronan Keating, Frances Yip, Maria Cordeiro, Eric Moo, Coco Lee, Anthony Lun, Sarah Brightman and Sandy Lam. Tama Goh has also previously performed at Jakarta Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival (2010), Frankfurt’s Jazz Keller and Wellington Arts Festival (2004). He was conferred the COMPASS Artistic Excellence Award in 2005 for his outstanding artistic contribution to Singapore. In the same year, Tama Goh also received the Singapore Street Festival Tribute Award.
