Vedigundu Pasangge, the 2018 Tamil language box office smash from Veedu Production topped the inaugural Cinefest Malaysia Awards by picking up 9 wins, including for Best Movie, Best Director, Best Actor and also the special jury award for Box Office of the Year 2018, at the stylish awards ceremony which was held at Grand Ballroom, ICC Pudu, last night. . Coming in second at the Tamil language film awards with 5 wins were Nee Yum Naanum from BGW Studios and Mayangathey from Shaibha Vision-Touch Tronics Entertainment-CK Films.
Cinefest Malaysia Awards (CFMA), an offshoot the respected five-year-old Cinefest Malaysia film festival, is the very first local awards that honours Tamil language films. CFMA 2019 was presented by DMY and organised by LN Infinity.
