Samsung is excited to announce the NX mini Express Yourself contest, which is run solely on a special Facebook application.
Participants need to shoot photos that best personify the theme – Colours of Malaysia – and submit them to mynxmini.com, with the hashtag #myNXmini to stand the chance to win a brand new unit of the Samsung NX mini SMART Camera.
Starting Wednesday, 7 May until Thursday, 31 July, Samsung Malaysia Electronics invites avid photographers to capture the sights and scenes that best personify the colours of Malaysia, to stand a chance to win Samsung's slimmest and lightest interchangeable-lens camera to-date – the NX mini SMART Camera. Participants need to submit their entries via Samsung's “NX mini Express Yourself” contest, which is run solely on a special Facebook application.
"The Samsung NX mini has both style and substance, perfect for trendsetters looking for a fun way to capture their life in outstanding photo quality. On that note, we have decided to excite them further by hosting this contest to inspire them to bring out the best shutterbugs in themselves. Participants can submit as many pictures as they wish onto mynxmini.com, on the condition that they adhere to the 'Colours of Malaysia' theme. As the theme suggests, participants will have to capture images that best personify Malaysia, be it through a historical building, a festive celebration or even a gastronomic delight found in the secret alleys of the country. They can use #myNXMini as the hashtag for contest entries, after which all photos hashtagged to #myNXMini will be collated and featured on the Samsung Malaysia Facebook application. One weekly winner will be announced every Thursday for 12 consecutive weeks. At the end of the contest period, all 12 winners will receive their winnings at a prize-giving ceremony.
The portable and stylish design of the NX mini SMART Camera, along with its stunning image quality makes it the 'go-to' device for great photography, allowing users to capture special moments in stunning detail. With NFC and WiFi capabilities, it allows users to take impressive shots that can then be shared quickly and easily, for friends to enjoy in real time.
To complement the camera, Samsung has introduced two NX mini lenses which are sold separately and optimised for use with the NX mini body – the NX-M 9mm F3.5 ED (for capturing landscapes and portraits) and the NX-M 9-27mm F3.5-5.6 ED OIS (a zoom lens). There is also an NX Mount Adapter to enable to pair the NX mini with Samsung's existing range of 15 NX lenses.
The Samsung NX mini SMART Camera retails at RM1,399, and can be purchased at all Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung authorised dealers. Meanwhile, the two new lenses will be available from 1 June 2014 onwards, with a recommended retail price of RM659 for the NX-M 9mm F3.5 ED and RM929 for the NX-M 9-27mm F3.5-5.6 ED OIS.
